Day 78: Anthony wins!
Posted by Simon at 10:26 PM

Anthony is the winner of Big Brother 2005. On hearing the news he covered his face before leaping up and jumping around the lounge area, and then shouting Ding Dong!

He didn't seem to think of Eugene very much, and only commiserated Eugene after Davina told Eugene that he had 30 seconds to leave the house.

Whilst Eugene had his interview with Davina outside of the Big Brother house, Anthony was walking around grinning and jumping about, throwing himself over the orange sofa's and generally going a little hyper at the fact that he'd actually won - something which he'd said he really wanted to do, and as others had commented, was something that he'd almost certainly make the most of out of the four finalists.

When Davina spoke to Anthony she said "alreeet!" and he replied with his trademark "alreeet!" back, before being told that the door was unlocked and that she was coming to get him.

He stood in the doorway with one arm raised high and one down by his side, before fireworks lit up the night sky above the Big Brother house. Davina then near enough dragged him down the walkway to the stage, as he wasn't moving very fast and was spending more time looking at the banners and touching hands with fans.

The interview
Davina asked Anthony how he felt about winning, before going on to ask how she felt about Eugene taking half the cash - he doesn't seem very pleased about what Eugene chose (maybe because he's £50,000 or even £150,000 down on what he could have won) but says that he's going to have a huuuuge holiday.

The relationship with Craig was also bought up, and Anthony made the point that they were good mates before going on to comment on an Afro - clearly not wanting to talk about Craig too much. Just of course, there was a highlights package showing various events during the time in the house, including the many arguments including the time when Craig threw beer over him.

Makosi was the next topic which Davina wanted to talk about, and soon the crowd were chanting "liar, liar, liar!" whilst Makosi sat there looking sheeping and biting her lip.

Anthony says that he "learnt not that much (about himself) to be honest", and one of his best memories from the house was the box challenge.

Day 78: Eugene finishes in 2nd place
Posted by Simon at 10:24 PM

The housemate finishing in second place of Big Brother 2005 is Eugene.

Eugene found that he had come second when Davina announced that Anthony had won, and was left just sitting on the sofa for well over a minute as Anthony jumped around the lounge area look a loon shouting and celebrating.

However eventually Davina announced that Eugene had 30 seconds to leave the house, at which point he said goodbye and good luck to Anthony and walked through the house to the crowd outside.

And a massive cheer was what waited for him, as he walked through the door, and as he walked along the raised platform towards the stage, looking at the banners which were being held up by fans who were supporting him.

The interview
Davina told Eugene that he had to talk in to the microphone, which of course he knew, and cleverly she said "Eugenius!"...

Within a few seconds Eugene's voice had started to crack and he became very emotional - clearly the fact that he was out of the house and in front of so many cheering viewers was quite an amazing feat for him.

Day 78: Makosi finishes in 3rd place
Posted by Simon at 09:25 PM

The housemate finishing in third place for Big Brother 2005 is Makosi.

She stood up, hugged Eugene and Anthony, and was told "well done" by Eugene, before being told by Davina that she'll be leaving the house in 30 minutes time.

Anthony and Eugene then shook hands with each other and said "good luck", and generally tried to take in the news of what had just been announced - and more important what it meant for the remaining pair.

Makosi has spent most of her 30 minutes being very demanding like she has been for most of her time in the house, almost as if she honestly thinks everything revolves around her "come on, come on... Daviiinnaa just come and get me NOW". She's like the spoilt girl from Willy Wonker and the Chocolate Factory (not the modern version of the film).

With 30 seconds to say her goodbye's she hugged Eugene and Anthony before making her way to the gold door and up the stairs to the waiting crowd outside - and quite a barrage of boo's. They certainly wern't as cheery as when Kinga walked out.

The cheers did finally start to come out of the crowd though as she walked along the walkway towards the main stage with Davina for her interview, and brushed hands against a few fans who were reaching up to greet her.

The interview
A very loud crowd booed and shouted during quite a large part of Davina's interview with Makosi, clearly not happy about some of the things Makosi did during her time in the house, and maybe miffed by the fact that she might be an actress if yesterdays Sun front page exclusive story is to be believed.

Makosi also said that she thought she'd win because she'd "never lost anything in her life" and then said how she was finding it difficult to be booed. She also got booed when she claimed she did believe she got pregnant before a huge amount of "liar, liar, liar liar liar!" chants from the crowd. Davina pretty much bluntly told Makosi that the whole thing about her being pregnant or not did her very few favours.

The crowd ended up chanting "off off off off!" - clearly not happy with the nasty piece of work which was sitting up on the stage in front of them, who had just claimed that she "can't keep my gob shut" when questioned by Davina about why she kept rumbling other housemates personal tasks, meaning they didn't get the treats that were on offer.

Makosi says that she wants Anthony to win.

Day 78: Kinga finishes in 4th place
Posted by Simon at 09:14 PM

Kinga has been the first housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house on the final night, meaning she has finished in fourth place.

Housemates all jumped up at the news, with Kinga approaching Eugene first and getting a big hug, before she turned to Makosi who congratulated her with Eugene saying "well done!". Anthony was the last to give the bubbly blonde a hug, at which point Davina told her that she had just 30 seconds to say her goodbyes.

Kinga left the lounge area saying "I'll see you guys soon..." before having to make the walk to the front door, up the steps and out to a huge crowd, and a massive amount of cheering from a very hyped up final-night crowd.

Interview
The already loud Kinga is even louder with a stick microphone that she's shouting in to, but thankfully has quietened down slightly after her initial "hello!!!" shout.

Kinga says that she wants Anthony to win.

Day 78: The last day!
Posted by Simon at 12:05 AM

Housemates have just entered in to their very last day of Big Brother 2005, with Kinga heading off to bed early after downing quite a large amount of the champagne which they'd been given.

Anthony, Eugene and Makosi stopped up in the seating by the bedroom and chatted for a bit, before Makosi and Eugene decied to call it a night, leaving just Anthony up, thinking things over and walking around the house soaking in what's left of the experience.

After starting quite slowly, the past 10 weeks have gone by in a real flash - especially as the number of housemates has dwindled, possibly due to the fact that once they'd got rid of a few that they didn't like it became a generally more happy bunch who got on with each other rather than the nightly bickering which filled the first part of the series.

Not that all the arguments ended there though, as Kemal, Science, Anthony, Craig and Makosi were all well known for raised voices and short tempers, not to mention Craig throwing beer over Anthony less than a week ago, and finally making sure his eviction was only a matter of time as the public turned even more against him.

So who wins?
So who wins? Currently Eugene is favourite according to the bookies, and it does seem he's got a good chance, although he's got doubts in his mind after taking half the prize fund on Wednesday night.

He now thinks people might not like him for taking part of the winners money, which of course if it's him he won't have done. Infact he'll have done himself out of £100,000.

The Eye predicts Makosi will be first out, followed by Kinga and Anthony, with Eugene winning. Find out the results, live, tonight on Channel 4 from 8:30pm-9:30pm, and 10pm-11:10pm.

Day 76: Craig is evicted!
Posted by Simon at 11:00 PM

The 'shock' (housemates had been expecting something to happen, so it probably wasn't really a shock at all) midweek eviction has seen Craig get booted from the house, after only managing to get a rubbish 4.1% of the vote to keep him in.

However in a way the eviction was a bit of a shocker for some, especially fellow original housemates Anthony and Makosi who surely didn't expect Craig to be leaving before either Kinga or Eugene.

He was given only 30 seconds to say his goodbyes, mid way through a Chinese meal which they had been given by Big Brother, and no doubt thinks what happened was "evil" - afterall, "they're all evil" according to Craig, at the end of the day, innit? Know whatta mean?

And in true Craig style, he exclaimed "I knew it. I knew it. I knew it" - knew what? All week he's been saying how he won't be going, and on Monday he claimed there was definitely an eviction. He always knows something after it's happened, but this would be something that despite claiming he "knew" was going to happen, he blatently didn't have a clue about...

...which is something that is pretty true for all of the housemates. They can't have expected that to have turned out quite how it did.

But where there's one suprise for the housemates, there's always the chance of another....

Second suprise of the night
After Craig had been given the boot and it'd started to sink in to the remaining four housemates that they were indeed there for the full stay until the last day, Big Brother called a housemate to the diary room, and Eugene responded to the request.

On entering the room, he found a suit case packed with £50,000 - half of this years prize fund, and was given one minute to make a decision. Either take £50,000, leaving £50,000 for the eventual winner (of which he's currently the Bookies favourite to be), or leave the lot which would have resulted in the winner getting a doubled-up prize of £200,000 - nearly three times the usual Big Brother prize.

After some indecision and questioning of Big Brother, Eugene decided to go for £50,000, before returning to his fellow housemates clearly a little confused and worried that he might have done the wrong thing, saying how "it might be morally wrong".

None of the others seemed to mind his choice though, but Makosi mentioned how it wasn't the choice that she'd have made, which sort of means that she didn't agree with what Eugene did, doesn't it? But then no doubt she'd have taken the £50,000 if she'd have been given the chance.

Day 71: Derek is evicted!
Posted by Simon at 09:24 PM

Tory boy Derek has been the latest housemate to get his marching orders from the Big Brother house, meaning Eugene is staying until the final week alongside Anthony, Craig, Makosi and Kinga.

On hearing the news Eugene looked a little shocked that he'd proven more popular than Derek, and there were some quite dissapointed looks on the other housemates faces - particularly Craig, who is obviously annoied to have seen one of the original housemates go instead of Eugene who joined mid-way through the series, and seems in Craig's eyes to be a reason why they shouldn't be there.

Derek looked quite relieved to hear the news, but despite him saying he's wanted to go home several times during his weeks in there, it'd seem that deep down he really wanted to win, so the announcement is obviously not what he was hoping for.

He slapped his hand down on to his leg and said "well done Eugene, well done!", before standing up and getting hugs from his fellow housemates and being reminded by Davina that he had just 30 minutes left before leaving the house.

Day 70: Rode-e-oh!
Posted by Simon at 07:01 PM

Housemates had to put their cowboy and cowgirl practise in to action this afternoon, with three out of four parts of the Rodeo task having to be passed for them to get a luxury food budget for their final week.

But it all went very wrong for the housemates, with Anthony unable to lasso the bulls head until a split second after the alarm went, but not before Craig had made the stupid comment of "You're doing really well" - no he wasn't. He was doing rubbish. He'd not lasso'd the bull. There was no way he was doing well, yet alone really well.

He was followed by the line dancers of Craig, Makosi and Kinga doing a dance which was so sloppy that they can't have ever believed they'd pass it - not a single move was syncronised, despite that being the very key part of what was required.

Sharp-shootin' Eugene and Derek did the group proud however with the shooting range, each taking shot at their own row of bottles and cans, before the group (minus Derek who didn't take part for health reasons) had to ride a Bucking Bronco for a combined two minutes.

Amazingly enough they managed to do that, despite Makosi not being able to stay on for even 10 seconds before falling in to the muck and straw pit which surrounded the bull. She was followed by Kinga, who is so short that she couldn't even make it onto the Bronco, even with considerable help with other housemates who were pushing and pulling, slipping and sliding, and trying every way possible to lift the bundle of loud laughter on to the bull. Unlike Makosi though once she got on she actually stayed on for a while, so it wasn't all to waste. [video]

Ultimately though the group were a bunch of failures, and will have to survive on a basic shopping budget for the final week of the Big Brother experience.
