Day 34:
Posted by Simon at
11:13 PM
It's been another one of those strange un-eventful days in the house today, with not a lot going on other than Craig bitching about people, Makosi bitching about people, Eugene talking about something overly-geeky, and Orlaith getting the boys look at her.
Maxwell and Saskia have both been appearing very "under the weather" with the forthcoming eviction meaning one of the pair is going to be hoofed out of the house by the end of the week, and that's caused quite a bit of tension in the house - not just between the two "groups" but also between buddies Craig and Anthony, especially with Craig who keeps going on about how the new housemates are in but the existing ones are going and how that's not fair.
But erm, Craig, you see someone from the original group would have gone today no matter what. Saskia and Maxwell aren't going because two new people have arrived. And the new people didn't get to nominate who was to go this week so it's not as if they've put the pair up for the vote. So "basically at the end of the day yeh, right, yagetmeyeh? Well right, you're wrong. God Nooooo. *flips wrist*"
Whilst Saskia's away...
Orlaith is clearly trying to win the hearts of the boys, especially Maxwell who on numerous occasions she's taken over the role of Saskia, pruning his hair, putting some cream on his spot, and generally giving him huge amounts of attention.
Saskia's claimed she's not bothered about it, although then clearly has a thunderstorm going on behind her face as the looks she's been giving people have been far from pleasent.
Orlaith's also given Anthony a huge amount of attention today, although it gets nowhere near the amount which he's giving her, although seeing as she's been lacking in clothes quite a bit of the time, it's hardly suprising.
Nothing much happening
And with it being a Thursday tomorrow, it's likely to be another fairly quiet day, because of course it's the eviction the day after, and Big Brother housemates always seem to need at least a day to prepare themselves for that, meaning yet another day out of the week where hardly anything happens and they worry about what tomorrow might bring. Today and tomorrow really would have been ideal for a mini-weekly task...
...and would you believe it, that's exactly what Big Brother has given them! A Romeo and Juliet ballet, with music and plenty of opportunity for dancing, has been set down by "the big man" as Science calls him, and they need to practice their moves before tomorrow's performance.
An ever over-dramatic Kemal has been barking out orders of dance moves like he's some sort of theatrical lovey, whilst the others have been in mixed opinion about how much they want to take part, mainly because they're not convinced they really need to do any practicing as they "know the lines" - especially Science who has been given the role of the Narator, and claims to know exactly what he needs to do. But then, who's to say Science doesn't know what he's doing? He knows everything. Innit.

Day 33: Max and Saskia up for eviction
Posted by Simon at
05:29 PM
Last night Orlaith and Euguene joined the main house from the garden, and instantly caused both some splits and some new friendships - Saskia particuarly became very defensive and was trying to keep the boys attention on her instead of the new Irish entrant.
Saskia also seems to have gone on and all-out assault to ensure she makes the best of her time in the house, convicing herself that she'll be leaving the house this week, and the group constantly called "team Saskia" keep saying how it'd be really bad if it was Maxwell vs Saskia this week...
...which nicely brings us to the nomination news this week...
Housemates nominated for eviction this week, are...
The housemates which will face the public vote this week, are, in alphabetical order... Maxwell and Saskia.
Yes, the pair who simply wouldn't want to be separated, are going to be. One of the two are due out this week, and gut reaction says that Saskia will be the one walking, but that opens up a huge can of BB worms with the potential for Maxwell to forget all about Saskia within hours of her leaving and being all over Orlaith - much like Craig and Anthony have been all day.
It seemed fairly certain that Maxwell would be up this week after he was banned from nominating, although it's slightly odd that Anthony (who was also banned) didn't get his name called out for the public vote. Saskia must have firmly nailed her name in to the coffin on Monday when she let out a massive verbal assault at Makosi over the cider drinking, which she's since appologised for after finding that the booze had gone to the "secret garden-mates"...
The fact Science isn't up this week either is quite interesting as he's been causing quite a few people to get angry at him, whilst Derek who has been up for the past few weeks also isn't facing the vote, which has shown quite a massive shift in nominations from the early weeks where the likes of Max and Saskia wern't even likely candindates for being up for eviction.
More updates from Day 33 as they happen...

Day 32: Makosi evicts Kinga, and others meet new housemates
Posted by Simon at
10:42 PM
The housemates woke up this morning continuing to be very angry at each other after last nights massive argument between Makosi and Saskia, with neither side of the divide yielding to give any ground.
So it was probably quite fitting for nominations to be called early today at just after midday, which as Saskia pointed out meant that everyone was still wound up from last night and would have no trouble from nominating.
Well, thing is Maxwell and Anthony got to find they had great trouble - they got banned from voting, due to their nomination discussions which had taken place on the lead-up to the nominations themselves. Naughty naughty.
Kinga evicted from Secret Garden
Makosi was called to the diary room earlier this evening, where she appeared on the plasma screen of both the main house and that of the secret garden, but the main housemates thought she was about to evict one of them until they heard names of people they didn't even know!
And ridiculously Makosi has been given the power of who to evict from the Secret Garden. She's surely FAILED her personal task after having been rumbled by so many housemates for "acting weird" and being asked "what are you doing" when she's constantly been rushing to the diary room with her black bag crammed with clothing, yet has constantly tried to fob them off with "don't ask me what I'm doing" and "I can tell you next week" and "I'm not allowed to tell you."
She might as well have bluntly come out of the diary room the first time she'd met the Garden housemates and said "I'm doing a personal task, I can't tell you what and you can't talk to me about it, but I'll tell you next week and so don't anyone ask me about weird stuff that I do, just put up with it."
Makosi has surely FAILED the task? Yes? Well, it'd seem not because she got to say who shouldn't be allowed in to the house and who should instead be evicted without ever being a true full housemate, and she picked Kinga.
Yep, Kinga, who could have quite possibly been the "best" thing since Jade in BB3. She was clearly going to not care about causing trouble in the house, whipping things up and getting her body out on display at every chance she got, and also stood right on Saskia's toes.
Yet she's been kicked out by 'Makosi the Mole'. This takes us back to The Eye's rant about Makosi the other day just perfectly. How can Makosi be given so much power?
No doubt both Eugue and Orlaith will be good additional housemates, and it was always known (once they'd entered) that only two would be making it through, but many fans on forums had been calling for all three to enter... And most certainly not for Makosi to pick who entered.
Getting the boys attention
Orlaith is clearly getting a few of the boys attention. Anthony seems every so slightly love struck over Orlaith, sitting by her side almost constantly, and Saskia took Maxwell to one side at around 10:30pm in the lounge where the pair snogged under a duvet. Although by 11pm Maxwell was sitting in the bedroom next to Orlaith flirting with her, giving it all of his cockney boy charm much in the same way as he's tried with Saskia for the past 32 days.
From day 30: Makosi the plant? Is this the Makosi show?

Day 31:
Posted by Simon at
12:16 AM
Whilst the nine main housemates sit about in the bedroom and lounge area, the three gardenmates are trying to keep themselves entertained, ahead of a shower which Makosi is promising they'll get when they sneak out during the middle of the night un-detected.
Orlaith looks a bit freaked out by her fellow friends, and is clearly very bored with Eugene's nerdy tales of things he's done as an engineer such as pranks with fire extinguishers and his constant music radio industry comments that he keeps coming out with, which are no doubt thrilling to him but are totally going over Orlaith's head.
Kinga on the other hand seems more interested in him though, and has been seen regularly teasing Eugene, possibly as she sees him as a better housemate that she's more likely to get on with than Orlaith. Infact, she's been getting very close and personal with Eugene on a number of occasions over the day, and seems to be trying to get him even more interested... [video]
She's since been crawling around on the floor purring to herself, and hiding under the table area near the cooker, where she hid from Eugene whilst he went to the toilet and then teasingly asked him if he'd play with her... Eugene didn't really seem to know what to say, and Orlaith stood at the mirror removing her makeup clearly cringing at Kinga's comments.
Quickest shower ever
At just after 5am Makosi left her bed and took armfulls of food to the three in the secret garden. She then told them to be very quick at running to the shower, at which point they must have spent no more than a minute showering before running back to the diary room and in to their secret garden room.
Makosi then asked them what else they needed, and took a ridiculously large amount of food from the kitchen - whole loaf of bread, whole bottle of milk, packet of bacon, jar of cereal, everything. However the housemates won't notice all of this food going missing is beyond ridiculous, and surely someone like Derek or Science will realise.
She then returned to the dark bedroom, and slipped back in to her bed - seemingly totally un-noticed by any of the other housemates that appeared to all be sleeping, although it'd seem highly possible that Derek wasn't actually asleep and might have known Makosi had been sneaking about outside the bedroom.
GET INSIDE!
Big Brother seemed a bit anxious to get housemates inside the house at just before 3:30pm, when the announcement boomed out over the speakers. The housemates seemed to believe it might have been a plane flying about, although were let out again only a couple of minutes later which would hint at it not being a plane trying to see what was going on... [video]
Booze causes you to row, kids!
All day Maxwell and crew had been looking forward to the chance of booze. All day Makosi had been planning on being first to the diary room when a housemate was called.
So no suprise that when Big Brother called a housemate that both Maxwell and Makosi pegged it to the door at double quick speed, but Makosi got there first and wriggled her way past the cockney geezer to push her way into the diary room first... but giving Max a glimpse of 10 cans of cider which were awaiting.
...but, Makosi didn't return. She'd gone through to the secret garden where they each drank a can of cider, and certainly wern't "drunk". But in typical drama-queen style Makosi returned to the main house and went from "not drunk" to "pissed out of her head" stumbling her way through the diary room door and schhllurrriinnng her every last word as she wobbled her way past the housemates and in to the bedroom, where she hid in the bathroom, clearly pissing herself with laughter at what she'd just pulled off.
Although Maxwell and Saskia wern't quite so impressed, and set off with a massive verbal assault calling Makosi all names under the sun, and looking like something you'd seen on Springer or Trisha with some arguing chavs!
Happy Days, as Maxwell would say. Happy Days.

Day 30: Makosi the plant? Is this the Makosi show?
Posted by Simon at
05:20 PM
Opinion: On Day 1 Makosi rushed to the diary room when a housemate was called, and put herself up for the Unlucky Housemate task. And today she's be the one that does another secret task. Is she a plant or something?
She's reguarly rushed to the diary room like a silly little girl when a housemate has been asked the go to the diary room, such as when they had the box task and someone had to go... Does she never learn?
So today they've found a big red button with "press here" written under it in big red letters, and instructions of "NOT to press the button". Science wasn't sure to press it or not. Derek said not to press it. But Makosi decided that with it being there less than 20 minutes, that she'd press it.
And what happened when she did? A siren went off, and Big Brother called her to the diary room... when it was revealed she'd do a secret task - and she'd meet the three housemates... the three housemates who were meant to be a total secret to the main house... the three housemates who we were hopefully going to get seeing sneaking out in covert-style operations trying to steal food from the kitchen and not getting caught... it could have been great TV
But now it's been blown, less than 24 hours after they entered the house. Another flop from Big Brother's producers.
And why is it a flop? Because it's Makosi the plant doing this personal task again, which means she has the power and edge over all the other housemates - she'll have already made a bond with the garden-mates by doing this, and her personal task is to steal clothes and food from the main house and take them to the secret garden.
Makosi's going to know all about the trio, where they are, everything. It won't be a suprise when they join the house, as she'll know they've been there.
She's also getting quizzed by her housemates, making the world be the centre of attention on Makosi (that annoying "me me me" speak-in-the-third-person Makosi, it's become The Makosi Show. the world revolves around Makosi. Or so she'd like people to think).
Obviously she can't let on about the three housemates that are just the other side of the diary room walls, but Kemal's trying to tease the truth out of her - it's painful viewing because we know the truth and what is going on. It's made all the more painful that earlier in the week Makosi had started to turn her back on Kemal, because she felt that he was competing too much with her, and told Science that whilst Kemal felt it was ok for him to act like her, that he wasn't being ok about Makosi acting like Kemal, and that she didn't like that.
The Eye feels Makosi shouldn't have even been able to be in the running for yet another personal secret task, and that the experience should have been given to someone else in the house who hasn't yet had such a challenge.
The one silver lining is that if Makosi fails, she'll automatically be up for the public vote. Oh please, fail Makosi. Let's vote her out! If she passes though, presumably she'll be rewarded, which means she'll probably be immune for another week from nomination, or get to pick the two housemates from the three that enter the main house... but why should she be given so much power over what happens in the series? It is Big Brother, and not The Makosi Show... and let's not forget that!

Day 29: Meet the new GARDENmates!
Posted by Simon at
10:09 PM
Three new housemates are due to enter the house tonight, and Davina has shown the basic but very pretty looking 'garden room' which they will be living in, featuring basic cooking facilities, a serving hatch, phone to contact Big Brother, small screen and a talking stag on the wall... weird!
They won't become housemates straight away, which presumably means the remaining nine original housemates also won't know that just the other side of the main house walls, they've got a hidden garden, full of new friends - or foes.
Kinga, Eugene and Orlaith
Kinga (think Jade, but maybe worse!) was the first housemate to turn up at the house and make her way past the crowds before walking up the stairs and through the front door of the house. She wore only a tiny bra and knickers with oversized leafs sewn on to them covering her rather large boobs and rear.
Second to walk down the stairs into the Big Brother house was Eugene, also wearing just a pair of undies with leaves on them - it's clearly what they've been told to arrive in, and themed to go with the garden room that they're going to be living in.
Kinga seemed to not be expecting another new housemate to join her, and shouted "oh my god!" as Eugene walked in on her taking a quick drink of water from the kitchen tap.
Moments later the third new housemate to enter was 26 year old model Orlaith, and also arrived in just her underwear which had leafs sewn on. As she pushed open the gold door at the bottom of the stairs she looked in total shock to find two other housemates dressed in exactly the same way as her - she clearly expected to be the only person arriving, and to have walked in on the "normal" housemates instead.
And whilst all this happens, the nine original housemates are sitting in the lounge area totally unaware of the new faces which have just turned up in their house!
Raid that fridge!
Big Brother told the three housemates that they'd be living in a separate part of the house, but before they entered it they had one minute to get enough food to last them a week - from the housemates own shopping supply which arrived earlier today - but that they had to do it without the housemates realising that they were or had taken anything...
...meaning they couldn't completely empty the fridge leaving Anthony, Craig, Derek, Kemal, Saskia and the rest with nothing to eat all week... shame!
So whilst the housemates return to the main house and go about their evening as usual, the new trio are quietly discussing their gameplan (as in how they'll steal the food, and what they'll steal so as not to get caught out) and also discussing the housemates - they've clearly been watching and forming opinions of their future housemates. Atleast, Kinga appears to have been watching near enough non-stop and knows everything, where as Orlaith claims not to have seen it.
More as it happens...
Day 29: Roberto is the 4th housemate evicted
Posted by Simon at
09:23 PM
Roberto is the fourth housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house, after receiving the most votes from the public...
The announcement came after what has been a very slow day for the ten who share the house, with very little happening all day and only the fact that there's three new housemates arriving tonight being the news of the day for viewers keeping an eye on every last movement on the live feed.
Derek hadn't received many boo's from the audience outside the house compared with Roberto during the eviction show before Davina reveale the news to the housemates, giving an indication of the mood of those who had gone along to watch the eviction.
Thumbs up...
On hearing the news Roberto stood up and put both thums up, and fellow housemates looked on the whole pleased, although Derek who had claimed he really wanted to go this week looked a bit gutted that yet again he's not going to be leaving.
Early indications during the past few days since the nominations were announced had been that Derek seemed the most likely to receive the boot tonight, but the past 24 hours appears to have seen the balance tipping in favour of Roberto leaving instead, with bookmakers claiming that it was "too close to call", and it'd appear that the crowd outside the house had their finger on the pulse and accurately reflected the mood of the voting public by giving evictee Roberto such big boo's.
Roberto leaves the house
Roberto left the house to a much expected big barrage of boo's from the crowd outside, and was quickly lead to the studio for his interview with Davina.
The Eye will have more from Eviction night, and of the three new housemates entering, as it happens...
Day 29: Prepare for 3 new housemates!
Posted by Simon at
01:26 PM
The ten housemates left in the house aren't expecting anything more than a normal eviction tonight when either Derek or Roberto are booted out of the house... but suprisingly for them they're going to get a new housemate... infact, 3 of them.
Rumours of new housemates have been rife for days now, and last night the tabloid papers broke out in a rash of stories about how THREE housemates would be joining the house tonight during the specially extended eviction show.
And right they are, because Channel 4 has confirmed that three housemates are to join the house, throwing the whole thing in to a total spin and possibly breaking up some of the bonds which have grown between housemates - namely Saskia and her crew, and the Kemal/Makosi/Vanessa gang.
Some papers are saying it's two females and one male joining, whilst others are saying it'll be three females - possibly making up for the fact that three have already been evicted, making the mix after tonight's eviction six male and six female...
It's all going to feel like Big Brother has started all over again at this rate!
Are these the three new housemates?
Bizarrely enough, some 3 or so hours before the housemates are even due to enter the house, some photos have been uploaded to Channel 4's Big Brother website, revealing their faces and names... but are they real or just decoys to throw people off the trail?

(left to right: orlaith, eugene, kinga)
The names seem a little odd, especially Orlaith and Kinga, although it's highly possible that they're real (who else do you know called names like Science, Makosi or Kemal to name just a few...?!) and Big Brother is well known for having 'different' people as the housemates, so it's fully possible we're looking at the three new additions to the house!
The Eye will have more later tonight...

Day 28
Posted by Simon at
01:33 AM
Housemates have just started day 28, and strangely rival's Roberto and Maxwell seem to be on particularly good speaking terms for the first time in ages.
They've done very little, as seems to be the norm for a Thursday having passed the task yesterday and preparing themselves in ridiculously good time for tomorrow's eviction.
To make things drag on even more they were also locked out in the garden for most of the day, for what Big Brother claimed was "essential maintenance", and numerous times the sound of an electric wood saw could be heard - quite possibly Big Brother removing the Work House and converting it into a new room which will be revealed over the weekend, or even tomorrow night during a specially extended Eviction Show.
Updates as they happen...

Day 27
Posted by Simon at
01:32 AM
After having failed the first two weekly tasks, housemates have managed to pass the 'workhouse' one, meaning they get £252 to spend on this week's new shopping list.
However it was almost all blown at the last minute when a laminate from yesterday had been left out in the garden, where Maxwell could have seen it and blown the whole cover which they'd been putting on for the past few days. Thankfully he didn't see it, and Anthony quickly got rid of it whilst no prying eyes (other than the cameras) were looking.
As a test of how well they'd all done, Maxwell was called to the Diary Room to talk about what he thought of the task, and without knowing it was being watched on the plasma screen by the other nine. Thankfully he didn't have a clue what'd been happening all week, and said how he thought some of them were a bit wimpy at doing some of the tasks but how they all seemed to pull together.
It was only once he'd returned to the sofa's with all the rest of the group that Big Brother announced that they had indeed passed the task, at which point Makosi shouted "well done Maxwell!" which caused a few moments confusion as Maxwell couldn't see why he'd been singled out for the praise, but soon had it all explained to him.
But not everyone is celebrating
Despite the good news about the boosted shopping budget allowing for some real Luxury purchases this coming week, not everyone is going to benefit from all the extras - Vanessa has been told that because she didn't take part in the task as Worker 1, that she'll only get three meals served to her per day in the diary room, and isn't allowed to eat any of the other food which is supplied to housemates!

Day 26: Derek and Roberto face the chop
Posted by Simon at
05:31 PM
A third day of luxuries have been enjoyed by housemates, whilst Maxwell has been working away in Room 101 shelling prawns totally un-aware of what's going on outside.
In the garden a selection of luxury cakes had been provided by Big Brother and a badminton net had been set up to entertain the lucky nine non-workers, as had an oversized chess board and pieces.
However in an interesting twist they didn't get to see what Maxwell was doing today, so had to be very inventive with their answers to him when they left the "workhouse" and spoke with Maxwell for the first time to see how he'd got on, and convinced him they'd been doing exactly the same chore.
Cleverly though they decided they'd all claim to have been given different tasks as their shift today, so could completely make up what they'd done and never be rumbled by the Cockney geezer.
The 'old geezers' up for eviction
Housemates have been told who is up for nomination this week, and it's the pair who have become real enemies of so many: Derek and Roberto.
Upon hearing the names being announced Science repeatedly shouted "AND...", expecting Big Brother to announce a third or fourth name, and possibly because he expected himself to be up this week.
Roberto sat there with hands on his head, and there seemed to be very little reaction at all, after what can only be described as a highly predictable nomination result.
How they voted...
Anthony: Derek, Vanessa
Craig: Derek, Makosi
Derek: Anthony, Maxwell
Kemal: Roberto, Science
Makosi: Anthony, Science
Maxwell: Derek, Roberto
Roberto: Kemal, Vanessa
Saskia: Derek, Roberto
Science: Derek, Roberto
Vanessa: Derek, Science
Craig and Saskia were the only housemates to receive no nominations from their fellow housemates.

Day 25
Posted by Simon at
10:59 PM
Housemates have enjoyed a second day of luxury, whilst Maxwell has been locked away in Room 101 working his socks off...
...but "all" he had to do today was grab handfuls of nuts and bolts out of a tray full of oil, and match them up with each other before putting them on a tray to his right as a completed nut and bolt set.
It was good news for the other nine though, who watched his every move on the plasma screen whilst they enjoyed champagne, strawberries, chocolate and pampering items in the garden, whilst topping up their tan on reclining sunbeds.
Fourth week nominations
The end of Maxwell's shift ended during the mid-afternoon, which saw a hurried clean-up by those that had been enjoying the life of luxury, as they got dressed back in to their workers uniforms and returned to Room 105 to dip their hands in a small tub of oil to try and pretend that they'd been doing exactly the same as Maxwell all day.
And not long later Big Brother called the housemates to the Lounge area to prepare for their nominations, which this week saw all of them being called and none missed unlike last week where Craig, Derek and Roberto were all banned from nominating due to discussing their motives for voting.
The process seems to have caused another divide though, with various groups of housemates splitting up and taking to different parts of the house after being let free from the lounge, possibly giving a few hints at the sort of nominations which would and wouldn't have been made today - it's fairly safe to say Maxwell won't have nominated Saskia...

Day 24: Room 101
Posted by Simon at
07:44 PM
Big Brother has introduced housemates to Room 101 today, by opening up a whole new corridor in the house to the left of the Diary Room, which has been called the 'Big Brother work house'.
However only one housemate will actually be working their socks off all week, whilst the rest will be enjoying their experience by eating luxury food and drinking booze, whilst trying to keep the secret of what's going on and convincing the unlucky housemate that they've all been slaving away in their own tiny grim cubical.
Each morning housemates must clock-in between 8:30am and 9:30am, and are then called to do their shifts, but will actually enter another room down the grey gloomy corridor where they'll stay until the unlucky housemate has got to work and knows no different.
For the task to be passed the 9 lucky housemates have to convince the Sap that they've been working away doing the same tasks as them, but if they get rumbled then the whole group will fail the task meaning no shopping budget at all next week.
Unlucky, or maybe not...
Vanessa became the unlucky housemate initially, by picking locker number 1, but on going in to the Work House she "couldn't do it" and so instead somehow Maxwell got called up instead - almost as if the whole thing was set-up by Big Brother to ensure that he'd be the one faced with the grim chores which last the whole week.
Whilst Maxwell was counting maggots, Anthony explained to the group details of what the laminate contained - news of the fact that they would never actually have to do any work, and were to simply enjoy themselves with treats being supplied by Big Brother during the next few days...
...so whilst the 9 bounced about on inflatable hoppers, bouncy castles, and ate sticky sugary food until their eyeballs nearly popped out, Maxwell was sitting there going through hell.
Watch your words... here comes Maxwell
But it was the end of the shift that seems to be the crunch time for housemates, as they have to watch their every word and not let slip that they've not been doing the same evil chores. They one-by-one left the Work House - just of course it wasn't really a small cubical like Maxwell is in, and they'd only been there a matter of minutes anyway - so as to make their shifts look realistic, with Big Brother announcing each shift ending one after another.
To add some extra realism to their story for Maxwell, they were reminding each other to "wash your hands!!" and comforting each other on how awful the experience was... Drama queen Makosi even pretended to shed a tear whilst sitting on the seating near the bedroom window, although it could have been more a case of crying because she was almost laughing than her being emotional.
Updates from Day 24 will be posted as they happen...

Day 23: Egg-cellent
Posted by Simon at
11:39 AM
Housemates were woken by the sound of a crowing cockerel this morning, before having just minutes to get dressed in to their task outfit - a giant fluffy chicken suit.
Each housemate has also been given an over-sized egg, which they've been told they must hold at all times and not put down, apart from when instructed to by Big Brother or going to the toilet.
If they get in the pool then the Egg must wear goggles, and if Sunbathing then a pair of shades must be placed on the egg. Each housemate that still has their egg in one piece by the end of the task will be rewarded with a barn dance party.
At just before midday the dividing screen blind rolled upwards, revealing the garden to the housemates, although as Makosi walked towards the door her egg seemed to have either been dropped or exploded, leaving a massive yolk in a puddle on the floor near the Diary Room...
Unfortunately for viewers of the live E4 feed the sound was dipped, so it's not clear what was the cause of the eggcident. [video]
A few minutes later housemates were told to go out in to the garden where they each found an excercise mat, and had to excercise to music piped in to the garden over the speaker system, whilst being instructed moves to do by Big Brother... and they seemed to do very well, with none of the eggs breaking.
Housemates were locked inside the house whilst the next part of the task was set up... straw nests had been placed around the garden, and each housemate had to place their egg in there and then sit over it for 20 minutes. Amazingly enough none of them broke during this time either, so there's still nine housemates in the running for tonight's party.
Makosi owns up to first week task
Despite it being more than two weeks since Makosi had to pick the two housemates for the first eviction, after she passed her task, she's managed to keep things pretty well under wraps - having only blabbed to Kemal immediately after doing the deed.
Although that all changed today when she was crying about the fact that her egg had broken meaning she was the only one not to be allowed to take part in tonight's barn dance party. Science had already twigged her so knew what was coming, but Vanessa seems to have been totally oblivious to the first-week goings on.
And it'd seem it wasn't just Science and Vanessa that heard, as other housemates including Maxwell appear to have been in the room at the time, although possibly not in direct ear-shot of what she was saying. Possibly Makosi's conscience getting the better of her, especially after seeing three girls leave so far - which she claims has upset her.
Barn dance party
All housemates, apart from Makosi who failed the task, have been enjoying a lazy layabout in the garden, whilst having country music played over the speakers, and eating a range of food which has been provided for them.
However at just after 8pm the "live feed" cut to the high-level Garden Cam and revealed the production crew cleaning up the garden... the garden cam isn't always "delayed" by 15 minutes like the normal coverage is, so it gave away a big hint that the party was about to end... [video]
...and sure enough a couple of minutes later the "live" (that's "live, but really it's delayed by 15 minutes) coverage saw housemates being told in a fairly rushed style that the party was now over and for them all to return into the house - of which Science picked up on and commented that he didn't think "they [Big Brother] were happy with us..." - maybe the fact they were sitting around not being very entertaining could be to blame.
Food fight!!!!!
No, they've not been throwing food, but more words. The shopping has arrived, and someone's realised that the list has been doctored... Maxwell however hasn't admitted that he made some last minute changes in the diary room when he took it back to Big Brother earlier in the week, removing things like 1 chicken and some sugar so as he could add Cider.

Day 22: Third housemate evicted is Sam!
Posted by Simon at
12:24 PM
Sam is the third housemate to have been voted out of the Big Brother house by the public, after a fairly slow day where no-one in the house seemed in much of a mood to do anything.
Housemates were woken at around 10am by a church-like bell which kept ringing and ringing and ringing until they all finally got up, although once they had risen from their beds it's not as if much got done - some housemates chatted by the pool, whilst others chatted in the Loft.
Craig cut Maxwell's hair, before Saskia plucked Craig's eyebrows, and Makosi did Kemal's hair. Derek said how he wanted to leave this week, as he's done many times since entering the house, but when picked up on the comments by Science Derek denied he'd been saying it at all, and claimed that he wasn't aware he'd been saying that and said it had only been said in the Diary Room - maybe he's been rumbled, or maybe he doesn't know what he is saying out aloud...
The eviction announcement...
Sam received the biggest boo's from the crowd during the show running up to the eviction announcement by Davina, which pretty much matches public opinion that she may be going tonight.
And the crowd outside the house were completely right, with Davina announcing to the house at just before 9:30pm that Sam was to be evicted tonight - having received more votes then the hated pair of Derek and Roberto who were banned from even nominating this week.
Sam shouted "now I get to go home... I'm going home!!" before commenting "I knew it" to her fellow housemates moments after Davina had made the announcement, and looked neither happy nor sad about the news. Saskia however was clearly gutted that Derek wasn't leaving tonight, and other housemates seemed confused and slightly shocked - although maybe not fully dissapointed.
Sam is evicted...
At just after 10pm Sam made her walk to the front door and was evicted, facing a mass of boo's from the crowd, mixed with a few cheers - certainly not as unpopular as Lesley last week. She did however get something thrown or squirted at her as she stood on the podium at the bottom of the steps.
And the interview turned quite surreal with Davina stripping off a black PVC mac to reveal she was just wearing a small black bikini - in recognition of the fact that Sam walked around the house for most of her 22 days wearing nothing more than a bikini.
Tonight's eviction means there's now only three girls - Makosi, Saskia and Vanessa, and seven boys - Anthony, Craig, Derek, Kemal, Maxwell, Roberto and Science, which seems quite imbalanced for so early in the series, and could well indicate that some new housemates will be introduced... possibly the the first time in the UK Big Brother two housemates could join, which is exactly what happened recently on the Australian version.
Interestingly at the end of the eviction show Davina mentioned how next week one housemate would live a life of hell, and mentioned Room 101, which is a reference to Orwell's room that contains the worst thing in the world... Sounds like it'll make compulsive viewing!
The Eye would like to see Science contained in a small room for a week, seeing as he claims "Science cannot be contained!!!!"

Day 21
Posted by Simon at
10:07 AM
A speed dating mini-task was completed by housemates last night, and as a reward some alcohol was given to them - including a bottle of wine which Maxwell, Saskia, Anthony and a few others decided to sneak out of the diary room so as Derek and Roberto didn't know they had it.
They soon hid in the loft, and were joined by Makosi, Sam and Kemal who were also in on the stashing, although were clearly somewhat guilty about what they were doing, and probably wonder if Big Brother will reveal their actions on a plasma screen at a later date.
Quiet day, sort of
It's been a quiet day for the housemates, other than the fact that the alarm has gone off numerous time at random times throughout the day. It's been caused by people sleeping, as they doze their way through the morning, in to the afternoon and start of the evening.
Having found there was "no food for breakfast" this morning, Roberto declared that he might as well "go back to bed". However by gone 6pm he was still in bed having done nothing all day.
Some housemates were slightly more awake though, as they ploughed their way through the shopping list in an attempt to try and order the right amount of food to last them their forthcoming week, despite having only a "basic" shopping budget after failing the pirates task.
Booze glorious booze
Big Brother has been soft on them for a second night though, and given the group larger and wine just after 10pm, after much pleading from various members of the house, using the excuse of it being "the last night" for one of the three housemates that is nominated for eviction tomorrow night.

Day 20: 11 fail, and then go speed dating
Posted by Simon at
10:42 AM
The third day of the Pirates task also marks the end of it, but the housemates are still plodding on in the hope that they've passed. Trouble is, they've failed, spectacularly, and had done so within an hour or so of starting it back on Monday.
They're not aware they've failed yet, but the Channel 4 website has revealled that yes they failed long ago - within an hour and a half Anthony, Saskia and Maxwell forgetting to don their hats, meaning there were 3 fails... the maximum allowed is 2 per day, so even with no more during the rest of the days they'd still have failed.
Incorrect responses to warning flags, and numerous other fails have resulted in them wasting their time staying in the crows nest all night, which has included Roberto and Derek moaning like old farts overnight, just to be replaced by Sam and Vanessa who hardly spoke for the early morning shift, which was followed by a raising rendition of their Pirates song as part of their morning alarm-call.
Failing the task means they end up with around £1 per day to spend on shopping, which will no doubt annoy Roberto who needs very little to get him wound up about food.
And fail they did
Housemates were told that they'd failed, but not until Big Beard got one more cheap bit of fun out of them, by making them line up and pass buckets of bilge water (or blige water as Science called it) but the buckets had holes in the bottom and the water was also full of fish guts, making the whole thing all the worse.
Once they'd finally managed to fill a barrel with enough water, the bottle which was inside it was high enough to be picked out by Captain Science, and he then removed the message from the bottle... to reveal the results... basically that they'd failed, massively, and totally without a doubt.
Speed dating
At just after 11pm Big Brother set a speed dating event for the housemates.
They have been given a hamper of alcohol, along with an envelope each, which contains the names of the housemates which they are to host a date with - of which has caused much hilarity with Derek getting Science and Maxwell as two of his partners.
The Loft (or boudouirge as some housemates have annoyingly nicknamed it) has been decked out in soft red cushions, roses and rose petals, and also has a bowl of strawberries - of which Craig ate a huge amount during his speed date being hosted by Anthony.
Derek hosted some very funny dates, followed by Kemal who was also highly humerous. Makosi's turn was next, and her second date was with Sam, who didn't answer the first question and said "i think we should just kiss", which resulted in them kissing for what must have been over a minute as the cameras zoomed in on the pair.
Maxwell's turn to host three speed dates was next, including Vanessa and a somewhat un-interested Science. He also got 2 minutes with Saskia, who he was clearly looking forward to, and appeared to enjoy greatly... [video]
During Roberto's turn at hosting three dates, he decided to inhale some helium from one of the balloons, so when Maxwell joined him he spoke all high pitched. This continued after his round of dates with Craig, Maxwell and Kemal having a go at speaking high pitched [video]
E4's live feed missed much of Sam's speed dating, however it did return from the break to find her lapdancing for Anthony, although she seemed more interested in making him strip than herself... [video]

Day 19: Derek, Roberto and Sam up for eviction
Posted by Simon at
08:53 AM
The first few hours of Day 19 were largely the same as they had been since the shock announcement at the end of nominations yesterday - housemates divided, and squabbling about each other.
Derek and Roberto were ordered to do Crows Nest duties, where they've been for much of the night, although haven't been keeping a particularly good eye on the flags which might have been raised, despite claiming they're happy to continue with the task.
Meanwhile in the house there's been quite a bit of revenge-seeking going on, with Maxwell and Anthony filling Derek and Roberto's sugar with salt - something which is bound to both suprise and annoy when the morning cuppa is made.
Craig also burst out in more emotional spats as he tried to explain how he feels he's been dragged down in to the actions of the others, before going off on several swear-word-littered rants about various housemates - even those that he used to be quite friendly with.
He's made the claim that "no one is talking to me", especially levelled at Vanessa, although he doesn't seem to have made the effort to go and talk with anyone either, so whilst they're all feeling a bit sorry for him and the fact he's been grouped with Derek and Roberto, but are giving him some time and space to deal with things, he's getting totally the wrong idea and thinking people are blanking him.
But then he thinks he had a load of people nominate him on the first week, which of course he didn't have, and it was only Makosi's vote that counted - he doesn't know this though, and is totally paranoid, saying that during week 1 people wern't talking to him and had been saying how they were shocked he was up when he wasn't their choice, which he claims was all lies and that actually they had nominated him... What a fool. Clearly paranoid and confused and not listening to what others are trying to tell him.
Roberto puckers up for the cameras
At just before 9am, with Derek still asleep and clearly nothing happening on the flag front (that he saw, but wasn't looking all of the time so might have missed one) Roberto started to smile and talk to the cameras, before going to kiss them... Strange, most strange. [video]
Derek, Roberto and Sam up for eviction
Big Brother has announced the results of the third week nominations, revealing that both Derek and Roberto from those that discussed nominations are up for the public vote, but not Craig, who had a very smug look on his face and possibly will realise that the house doesn't hate him, despite what he's been saying - it's also the first week he's not been up for the vote.
Third housemate facing the vote is Sam, who looked a bit gutted and must tell her something about what housemates think of her to be up against Derek and Roberto. Maxwell commented how he wants to see Roberto go, and there were similar comments made at Derek. Saskia however was very glad not to be up for eviction after having convinced herself that she would be, based on the video footage which was shown after nominations on Monday.

Day 18: Craig, Derek and Roberto banned from nominating!
Posted by Simon at
06:20 PM
Housemates have been plunged in to another nomination shocker, with Craig, Derek and Roberto all not being called to nominate, and then all of them being shown the trio talking about nominations.
Craig was the first to be confused about not being called to nominate when Big Brother moved straight on to Makosi, but then realised Derek had been missed out too. It looked like Derek soon twigged on to what might be happening though as he burried his head in to the sofa, obviously dissapointed to have been rumbled and embaressed.
Roberto also wasn't called to nominate, and after the last housemate (Vanessa) had nominated, Big Brother reminded housemates of the rules that nominations have to be their own choice, and told housemates to watch the plasma screen.
Craig insisted that he'd "not talked about nothing" and was seeming to be totally puzzled as to why he'd not been called to nominate, but surely he realised that there'd be no way of claiming he'd not done something if housemates were about to be shown exactly what had caused Big Brother to make the decision?!
The E4 live feed went to a break, during which time housemates appear to have been shown the three housemates talking about who they were going to nominate, leaving some housemates very angry with them.
Livid!
Whilst Derek and Roberto returned to the Crows Nest to keep watch for the flag, Saskia stormed off to the bedroom, claiming to be "livid" at what had happened.
Meanwhile Vanessa sat in the lounge with Makosi and Sam discussing how she'd made sure not to speak about nominations this week after she was caught doing so last week, and was saying about how what she'd said was considered a breach of the rules by Big Brother, almost to justify her actions.
Science is saying that he "shouldn't have been so naive" and that he shouldn't have "looked out for people in this house" referring to how he'd defended people - especially Roberto. He's also said that he's learnt a lesson to "always follow your heart" although wasn't it Science that was saying he's a "leader" and not a "follower" just the other day?
Craig is going on another of his "victim" outbursts, saying how he's going to leave, whilst Roberto has said how now would be the ideal time for him to "walk from the house". Derek doesn't seem to be feeling quite that way, although hasn't really said much at all.
It's caused a massive split between housemates, with Craig, Derek and Roberto (who had already formed their own mini-group last week by splitting off to do the shopping) in the bedroom with Science, and the rest all in the lounge area saying how they feel cheated on by the three that had said things about them. However Science returned from the bedroom to find that no housemates were in the Crows Nest keeping watch of the flag - potentially meaning they could have failed this week's task by not doing their required watching.
Over an hour, and still divided
Over an hour after the shock news was revealled, and housemates are still clearly very divided. Craig, Derek and Roberto are all in the bedroom toilet together discussing what had happened, whilst other housemates are keeping watch for the task, cooking, or sitting in the lounge gossiping and bitching about Roberto, Derek and Craig.
Craig sounds like he's about to start crying again, going over the same old ground of "no one talks to me", whilst Roberto's quite brash and defensive about his actions and clearly trying to make his side of the story the one that people accept, even if they don't want to. Derek however seems to feel a bit cheated and is saying how he wants to see the video of Vanessa discussing nominations last week, and video of all the other housemates having discussed similar, so as to compare it. Seems unlikely Derek will get his wishes though - it's not how the game works.
And sure enough, at just after 9pm having just sung their pirates song for the first time, Craig rushed back to the bedroom and started to cry on his bed. Clearly not enjoying the task or his time in the house, having seen Lesley leave on Friday and now him being revealed as somewhat of a cheat by discussing nominations.
Nominations will be announced on Tuesday.
Day 18: Housemates become shipmates!
Posted by Simon at
12:26 AM
Housemates are entering in to Day 18, with their third week of nominations due to be made later in the day, and they were woken up at around 10am to find the house has been decked out in pirate related decorations.
Anthony has revealled to the housemates that he had a broken nights sleep, and could hear hammering and drilling - clearly from the construction of the task materials out in the garden overnight.
The bedroom is now the "pirate quarters", and there's a gun cannon with cannon balls next to the Diary Room, whilst out in the garden there's a representation of a Pirate Ship, with Big Brother now called "Big Beard".
One captain will be in control of the Pirate Ship, must not take part in day-to-day tasks, and will benefit from certain privileges. To decide who the captain is, they have to pull swords out of a barrel, with the longest sword being key to the captain's role.
As soon as Science saw the Pirate ship he burst out in a Pirate voice and was clearly revelling in the task, so it's probably proven very fortunate for him to have pulled out the longest sword, making him the captain. Ooh arr pieces of eight.
Two housemates each have to take it in turn to sit in the crows nest (loft) and keep watch over the garden, looking for a flag which will be raised by Big Brother either signifying Land Ahoy or Pirates, and then have to raise the alarm getting all other housemates ship-shape and on deck within 5 minutes.
At just before 2pm the first flag was spotted, and housemates made it there in time but then should have done as they were all dressed and awake - it'll probably be a different matter if the flag gets raised during the night whilst housemates are sleeping.
Rough seas
The task had been going ok, but hit a patch of rough seas during the afternoon when Big Brother called the housemates to nominate, and then announced that three of them had been discussing who to nominate and so wern't allowed to vote.
This obviously caused a case of low moral to sweep over the housemates, who were already finding it hard to work as a team with Science ruling with such a hook-shaped iron fist, but wasn't made better when the house seemed to split in two with Derek, Craig and Roberto staying in the bedroom bickering, whilst other housemates were in the lounge doing exactly the same. (see The Eye Day 18 for more...)
Sing!
A mini-task to create a sea-shanty has been set down for the housemate, and they'll have to perform the song as a whole group at various intervals during the task, as required by Big Beard. The first performance happened at just before 9pm, although just as soon as it were over Craig has rushed back to the bedroom to sob his eyes out and hide from the housemates who he'd been shamed infront of when the video of him discussing nominations was revealed.

Day 17: Anthony, Derek and Roberto win Box task
Posted by Simon at
12:20 AM
Housemates have started Day 17 with five of them still under their boxes - where they've been for more than 12 hours with only a short 10 minute break given to them just before midnight.
Craig quits
Less than an hour after the 10 minute break, and Craig has left his box, claiming that he "suffers from cloustrophobia"... Strange he claims that after being in the box for more than 12 hours, but there you go.
Housemates got a further short enforced break at around 7am, where Anthony, Craig, Derek and Makosi all stretched their legs and got to adjust their living space before getting back in the box for their next stint at the challenge.
And at just before 10am sleeping housemates were awoken by late-80's classic "Living in a Box" being played over the speaker system until they finally decided to get out of bed, although it looked like a few were enjoying hearing it so much that they wanted to hear it again and again.
They didn't however get treated to more than a few plays before Big Brother decided a more harsh alarm clock (sounding a bit like a fire bell) was used to try and raise the slumbering housemates from their beds - and no doubt annoy those doing the box task at the same time.
Big Brother calls an end to the task
With the "living in a box" task clearly lasting longer than Big Brother had been expecting, an end was called to the task at just before 3pm, with Anthony, Derek and Roberto all told to come out from under their boxes for health and safety reasons. They didn't believe it at first and thought it was a trick to get them out, but it wasn't. The task was over.
After being called to the Diary Room the three emerged revealing that they were all winners, but that they couldn't share the food with others or they'd simply lose the prize.
The task lasted around 27 hours, and Craig went on moaning about how it "lasted too long". But then he moaned almost non-stop both whilst doing the task, and after coming out of his box, and so it's little suprise he decided to whinge about it after the task had ended too. The prattling soppy wet fish.
Not everyone's impressed, mind...
Derek doesn't seem too impressed with the three-course meal that has been given to the winning housemates though. He's complained about nearly everything. The plates aren't hot, the dessert "looks like a dog's dinner", and they've put red wine in the fridge. Heavens above.
Apparently "these people have clearly never held a dinner party before" - refering to Big Brother and how badly they'd provided the meal. Roberto didn't seem too put off by it though, and Anthony was clearly happy to atleast have something to eat, with the promise of more to come from the fully stocked fridge.

Day 16: Housemates told to Think Inside The Box
Posted by Simon at
12:21 PM
Housemates were finally let out of the bedroom at just before 11:40am, where they found dozens of huge boxes with safety warnings on them and photos of the housemates.
Makosi read out details of the task, which will see the winner win a Luxury 3-course meal every night for three nights, along with access to a fully stocked food and drink fridge.
To win, they have to climb under their box, and stay there as long as they can. The person that stays in their box for the longest is the winner - surely quite simple. But it can't be that easy... Big Brother must have something which is nasty or evil or difficult about it.
Maybe the box has been rigged with some sort of prank tricks, gunge, stink bombs, or some other Big Brother style foolery. Each housemate has an "emergency kit" with various items including a bottle of water, compass, flag, and housemates that have boxes located in the garden have been told that they have eyeholes which are covered up which if the weather turns bad then they will be told to remove the patches and shuffle inside the house. Sounds mad!
Housmates also have a head-mounted torch so as they can see what they're doing inside the big dark boxes. Viewers however don't appear to be able to see what's going on under each box...
Is this some of the funniest BB ever
Surely this is going to be some of the funniest Big Brother ever. Housemates haven't got a clue what any of it's about, and some of them are obviously split from others due to a few being out in the garden. Vanessa's not even back from Hospital after injuring her foot last night.
So Science decided he was going to shuffle about in his box to get to a different part of the room, and moved past Max, bashing in to his box in the way whilst Kemal and Derek were talking to each other between their boxes.
Max then moved his box next to Saskia, bashing in to her with quite a thud where he spoke with her, although he's forgot to get his microphone from the bed and so everything he says is muffled, probably meaning he'll be first out of the box if Big Brother makes him to go and get it.
--- [video of the task as it started]
Science first out
Science didn't last long in the box, claiming that "Science can not be contained", and soon went around pouring water through the holes in the top of other housemates boxes. He also walked around drumming on boxes and generally causing annoyance.
He seemed to be causing great annoyance to housemates, especially Roberto. Meanwhile Kemal had moved out in to the garden under his box, and had climbed on top of Makosi's, in what surely meant he'd failed the task too. Science then came along and removed the box from above Kemal, which made Kemal quite anti-Science, and started to throw glasses of water at him.
Vanessa returns, with Sandwiches
Science appears to have been telling the truth saying that there were Bacon Sandwiches in the Diary Room, as Vanessa has just returned from the hospital on crutches after last night's fall, and asked Science and Kemal to help her bring out a tray which had toast and jam on it, and a big basket of Bacon Sandwiches, which can only be given to housemates once they've left their box, and can't be given to any housemates that are in their box.
Sam was next out of her box, after quite a long gap between Makosi being turfed out of his. She walked in to the Kitchen, ignoring questions from Derek about who it was, and walked to the fridge, and found the Bacon Sandwiches, saying "thank god!" to herself as she took one.
Hello mum...
To make housemates want to get out of their box to see what's going on, Big Brother has been playing messages from home, with Anthony's mum appearing on the plasma screen and talking to him. However Anthony's determined to win this task and didn't budge, although did shout "hello mum".
At 5:30pm Anthony was saying he reckons he could easily go in to the early hours of the morning, but then no doubt all the others - including Maxwell and Craig - would claim exactly the same thing, as they all seem to really want to win.
Will they ever come out?
At 7:50pm (around 8 hours after starting) there's still a few housemates going strong - Derek and Roberto are inside the house near the kitchen and diary room door, whilst Anthony, Craig and Makosi are still all inside their boxes on the cold concrete by the shower and pool in the garden.
Other housemates are sitting in the lounge chatting, although Science and Kemal are cooking from what they've got left of this week's shopping, and Vanessa is chatting with them whilst having one of the bacon sandwiches warmed up in the cooker. Kemal has also poured oil in through one of the holes in Roberto's box, but didn't admit to it.
However foul-play really came in to force at around 8pm when both Maxwell and Kemal started to spoon in runny icecream. They eventually started to pour it straight out of the bowl, and Roberto assumed (rightly) that it was Maxwell, although really Kemal was doing much more and continued to do so, before throwing some other food and a glass full of water right over the box.
Take a break
At 11:30pm Big Brother announced a compulsary 10 minute break for the remaining 5 housemates - Derek, Roberto, Craig, Anthony and Makosi.
and in to Day 17 they go...
Day 16: Vanessa in bed-jumping accident
Posted by Simon at
01:27 AM
Housemates have started Day 16 how they ended Day 15 - by drinking.
They received beer and wine from Big Brother after Lesley's eviction last night, and soon drank it, although there was some argument over the fact that a bottle of red wine went "missing", to later be found and drunk - much to the disgust of Roberto and Derek.
Derek went to bed in a huff (although it might have been some of his play acting where he wanted to get involved but "couldn't") and clearly made his views known, whilst Roberto soaked housemates in the lounge with the garden hose. Later he spent quite some time in the Diary Room speaking with Big Brother.
Vanessa following in Saskia's footsteps?
At just after 1am Kemal, Vanessa and Makosi entered the bedroom where Derek and Craig had been talking. They were clearly quite drunk, and started to jump between beds, although the live feed instantly cut to the garden camera.
A moment or two later there was a very brief glimpse of Vanessa laying on the floor with a few housemates around her and her crying, and then Kemal banging on the Diary Room door to get Roberto out, whilst screaming "emergency, emergency!".
It'd appear that Vanessa jumped and fell, and twisted her leg, and has a very similar injury to Saskia, meaning she too will probably end up with her leg in a cast. [video]

Day 15: Second housemate evicted is... Lesley!
Posted by Simon at
09:25 PM
Lesley has become the second housemate to have been evicted from the Big Brother house, after receiving more votes than any of the other 11 who all also faced the public vote this week.
As Davina talked to the house and said the housemates names in turn, both Lesley and Sam got some massive boo's, as did Roberto, and Vanessa got a mix of boo's and cheers. However it was Lesley that the British public seem to like the least, and have decided that two weeks was plenty enough for her.
Lesley had been strongly tipped as being the favourite to get the boot tonight, with online polls and betting odds favouring her, with Sam hot on her heals (much like the pair have been during the past 15 days!) and they were spot-on tonight with Lesley sure enough getting the boot to what is surely going to be a very nasty reception with more boo's than almost any other previous housemate has received.
Upon hearing the news Lesley sat there being cuddled and comforted by Makosi who had been sitting to her right on the orange sofa, whilst Lesley fanned her face with her hand. Other housemates sat there taking the news in, partly in shock but deep down it looked like quite a few expected it to turn out that way.
Craig then hugged her, and broke out in tears, to which Lesley told him not to cry because she would too. Science then passed Lesley her Policewoman's outfit, but she was worried that "I'd get boo'ed" before going on about how "I gooot t' mos' boo's", although that was challenged by Sam who felt she got more.
She's still bitching
And with about 15 minutes before she leaves the house, she's still bitching about her housemates, with her saying "'err 'scuse me, but don't youz think I'm gonna remember what you's said to meee" to Maxwell after he said something to her. Does she never pack it in?
Boo, boo... boo!
The crowd greeted Lesley with a predictable wall of "boo's", and she didn't really give them much to cheer about - not even a wave as she walked out of the front doors.
Her walk with Davina from the bottom of the steps towards the studio seemed fairly hurried and controlled, with none of the real crowd-meeting that may have usually been done, other than a few people that she appeared to know at the bottom of the steps before she got to have her photos taken by the press.
More updates from Eviction Night to follow as they happen...
Day 15
Posted by Simon at
10:40 AM
Someone's going tonight, in the second eviction of the series... but for the housemates it's going to be a nervous day as they all wait to find out who.
It's getting crucial...
Things have got so bad on the food front that Big Brother has given them an emergency aid package, packed with basic rations to last them through until they get their next load of shopping arrive.
Science quickly unpacked it, commenting on everything as he pulled it out of the polystyrene box that it came in, and then went on to thank Big Brother for supplying them with some much-needed food.
Results of Hospital task announced
Day 1: 1 treatment fail, 1 medication fail - day 1 passed
Day 2: 2 treatment fails - day 2 passed
Day 3: 4 failures of wearing costumers and 2 of treatment - 6 fails
Housemates have therefore failed this weeks task.
If they've have bothered to stick it out for that last day they'd have clearly passed, and must surely be kicking themselves now - especially as they passed the earlier days which housemates were fairly sure they'd failed on some basic points which were in the rules.
What it did result in though, quite predictably, was another argument over food, and how (and even who) was going to do this week's shopping list - something which Science seemed to want to control and not really give people a voice to have their views heard.
Something going on, on the roof
Housemates have been locked in the kitchen and bedroom area of the house for a few hours now, and the E4 feed has shown that there are workmen on the roof with some white poles.
The poles are now quite numerous, and are all arranged in several straight lines, although it's not clear what they're doing or why they are there.
Quick... pack!
At just after 6pm the Store Room was unlocked, and all 12 housemates were able to collect their suitcases ready to be packed for tonight's eviction. They all seem somewhat nervous and as if they could be the one going, although both Sam and Lesley seem to be coming across as though they know they're more likely - mirroring the general opinion outside of the house.
However whilst everyone manically packed, Lesley sat on the long seat outside the bedroom doing her makeup... clearly more bothered about looks than getting the important task of packing her clothes done.

Day 14: Task over... so they decide to stop talking
Posted by Simon at
06:37 AM
It's the day before the second eviction, and with all housemates nominated to go tomorrow they'll clearly be nervous that it could be them leaving, never to return.
So before 6am is a strange time in the Big Brother house to see Lesley and Craig still awake - they left the diary room to find that Derek had woken (early for him too) and had been outside whilst they were chatting with Big Brother for what they claim to have been about 50 minutes.
And there's some talk of Saskia leaving this morning to go and see a doctor, although it was pointed out that if she goes outside of the house she'll not be allowed to return... surely she'll just see a doctor in the Diary Room though, unless it's something more serious?
Task over... and it's a baby gnome!
Housemates completed their Hospital task this afternoon, but it wasn't until Craig gave birth to "baby Britney", which happened to be a garden gnome wrapped up in a small gnome-sized cot.
More arguments...
Arguments have littered the house for the first two weeks, and today was no different. Admittedly Sam and Lesley appear to have patched things up, but things are still kicking off with Science being involved in some loud outspoken rows with various house members.
He argued about food with Derek, and others, and argued about the task with everyone, which lead to yet more arguments. Roberto's voice doesn't seem to have stopped droaning on all day either, with him trying to push his views and ways of life on to everyone else at every given possibility - mainly about food and the task, just like Science.
Clearly some housemates are getting very very very tired of it.
So fed up, they stop talking all together!
Housemates have got so annoied with the food situation, that they've decided to stop talking so as to pressure Big Brother in to changing matters. Most of them are laying on their beds, although Maxwell and a couple of others are in the lounge area.
No one has said anything for a remarkably long time. Sam did a bit of cleaning in the Kitchen area, banged some cupboard doors shut and exhaled a bit of a noise, but didn't utter a word before also going to lay down on her bed.
Will Big Brother buckle to the pressure? Last year housemates also tried a silent protest, and all got gathered together on the sofas, at which point the air conditioning was turned down very cold so as to annoy them and make them feel unconfortably cold. Housemate-power doesn't usually work against the rule-setting Big Brother, but there's always a first time.
Although quite predictably it was Maxwell and pals that spoke first (he was hardly going to keep quiet for ever was he?) and thankfully there's something to watch on the live E4 feed...
Updates from Day 14 will be posted as they happen...

Day 13
Posted by Simon at
07:08 AM
It's day 13 in the house, which going on the 'unlucky 13' theme really should be quite significant... but will it be unlucky for some, or every one of them?
And a particularly unpleasent alarm noise of someone repeatedly throwing up and spitting away the chunks of carrot was what woke up the 12 housemates this morning for the second day of their Hospital task.
They didn't seem in much of a hurry to wake up though, despite the fact that the awful noise would have stopped much sooner if they had of all leapt out of bed and got on with their day.
The Eye feels a bit queasy.
Now Lesley wants to walk
The past two weeks has seen a number of housemates saying they've wanted to walk. First there was Mary, and then Derek mentioned how he'd walk. More recently there was Sam after she had her make-up bag hidden, and today Lesley is saying she's "had enough of the experience" and wants to "guuuoooo hummme".
It'd seem a combination of a second day's medication from Big Brother, some more comments thrown between herself and Sam, and then Maxwell's verbal attack on Lesley criticising her for constantly bullying and picking on Sam, saying how Lesley's mother would surely not be proud of her daughter being labelled as a bully.
Will she walk? Probably not, but she's also appearing to be one of the favourites for eviction this week, so might get booted out by the public for being disliked before she even gets the chance to bow out semi-graciously.
More visits to hospital...
All housemates had received an injury or treatment of some sort by the evening, including Kemal who got piles and had to sit on an inflatable ring, and Derek who fell off his horse and had to have his head wrapped in a bandage.
Maxwell got a condition which didn't get "treated" but simply saw him losing his voice meaning he wasn't allowed to talk, although within minutes he'd unwittingly blurted out with "what?" to something someone said, and later in the night was back to talking again - clearly they'd given up realising he'd failed, and when put with the other failures of the day they simply couldn't pass the task.

Day 12: All housemates up for nomination?!
Posted by Simon at
05:37 PM
It'd appear that all housemates are up for nomination this week, after Vanessa was caught talking about nominations to Lesley.
The announcement came at 5:30pm and was missed by viewers of E4 due to an advert break, but was soon explained when Vanessa confessed to be called in to the Diary Room last night where she was told she couldn't say anything until the announcement was made today.
Reaction from housemates was generally good, with the point made that atleast they were all up. Derek commented that they still have the "power" and that "1 out all out" which he's said before.
Saskia also realised that it may mean all of their familes are going to be waiting outside for them on the Friday - something which rarely would be the case usually.
So who goes? Sam seemed likely to be nominated, as did Lesley and maybe Roberto, but today's announcement totally changes things as it'll be the public that get the choice as to who goes next - maybe Kemal, or Craig, or...?
Of course there's always the chance that two housemates might leave on Friday, and that they might not be leaving at all but instead going to a secret room like Emma and Michelle did during BB5!
The Eye isn't too sure who should go this week, although feels Makosi or Sam seem likely.
Day 12: Big Broth'ER', as house becomes hospital
Posted by Simon at
10:05 AM
Housemates have finally been given a weekly task! The Big Brother house is to become a hospital, with them playing out the roles of dotors, nurses and patients.
Ambulance sirens woke the housemates first thing this morning, and have been divided into a matron, three nurses and eight patients, with a series of treatments which will need to be carried out.
Each time an ambulance siren is sounded, a housemate has to get to the diary room within 1 minute (which probably indicates they'll be called whilst everyone is asleep) where Dr Big will diagnose the problem and then the matron and nurses will have to provide suitable treatment within 30 minutes.
Considering the fact that Makosi is a nurse, she should in theory be very good at this task, and it'd have proven interesting to see quite how well she does - but Roberto, who was chosen as Matron by reading out the laminate, didn't pick her as a nurse and instead she was left over to be one of the 8 patients...
Kemal already failed them?
Kemal was called to the Diary Room by Dr Big, and had been laying in bed in his hospital bedding, so presumably had been given treatment (although if he hasn't been then he's probably ok), yet he walked to the Diary Room on his own where as housemates that have received treatment are ment to press a buzzer and then be taken to the Diary Room by the nurses/matron. What's more when Kemal got there he shook hands with the skeleton, which isn't meant to be touched without Dr Big's permission.
Moments later housemates asked Sam about the buzzer, and she pressed it to reveal it's the sound of the Big Brother diary room noise which was used up until BB4. She didn't however get taken to the Diary Room by anyone and stayed in bed, so will this count as another fail?
My heart beats differently...
Whilst Roberto was checking Sam's heartbeat with his stethoscope, Saskia commented how hers beats differently, and Roberto checked and indeed it did. She didn't however make any comment about how she had heart surgery as a youngster (according to reports in the newspapers) and just left it at the comment that it "beats differently", with Roberto demonstrating the difference in noise...
Housemate pregnant
Craig went in to the Diary Room earlier, and was in there quite a time - something which had been noted by Derek - although it all became very obvious why he was there for so long when he exited the diary room dressed like Mrs Doubtfire in a floral dress and hat.
His visit to the Big Brother Hospital will be because he's pregnant, and has to walk around, sleep, and live his life dressed as a pregnant lady from now until the time that Big Brother decides his visit is due.
Flat lining
The task almost flat-lined earlier, when Science was reading through the rules and realised that they'd easily racked up 4 failures already, where as they're only allowed a maximum of two per day.
Minutes before Sam had been moaning about how she can't be bothered having the inflatable leg cast on her leg (it's been deflated and bent for the last few hours, so presumably that's another fail as a broken leg won't get fixed the way she's been sitting in the garden) and that she was going to go to the diary room.
Roberto argued with Science, who argued back, voices were raised, and raised yet further, and other housemates started to look very dissolusioned, although some were saying how they wanted to continue with the task as they may not have failed... despite it being fairly clear that they have.
It's the realising that they've failed and then not putting the effort in which seems to blight Big Brother tasks, especially of the last few series where housemates seem to give up far too easily, making the task worthless - despite it being the fun aspect for viewers (and housemates seeing as they moan they've got nothing to do) which makes Big Brother so enjoyable.
Time for medication...
Roberto told housemates that he had to administer them their medication at just before 4pm, and housemates queued to receive it... but didn't seem to keen when they found out it was Cod Liver Oil. Lesley seemed particularly anxious to wash it down with water, and Craig looked like he was about to be violently ill.
So it probably came as little suprise that someone actually was sick - Makosi threw up the mouthful of cod liver oil about 2 seconds after it'd gone in her mouth, and rushed to the bedroom toilet. Housemates didn't know if they should be concerned or laugh their socks off. [video]
By late in to the evening only a handful of housemates hadn't rushed to the Diary Room when the siren had gone off - specifically Maxwell who keeps saying how he reckon's his injury will see him bed-ridden for the rest of the week and wheeled about in a wheelchair, which if that wasn't going to be what Big Brother were going to make him do, probably will be now he's given them the idea!
Nominations for week 2 were also announce during Day 12

Day 11: Sam's bag's missing, oh no!
Posted by Simon at
02:50 AM
2:30am, and all of the housemates are still awake. Anthony, Maxwell, Sam, Saskia and Roberto are in the kitchen area. Craig, Derek, Kemal, Makosi, Lesley and Vanessa are sitting outside of the bedroom.
Derek has been singing and dancing, and even at one stage was crawling around on all fours with the microphone pack in his mouth. It's not clear if the group are planning some sort of prank on some of the others (Sam and Saskia's name has been mentioned a few times, whilst Lesley, Craig and Makosi were talking about stealing one of Roberto's Crunchies earlier) and it seems it might be a way of trying to "act normal" whilst actually not looking normal at all.
Sam gets upset by the pranksters
And sure enough the group that were looking like they were going to cause trouble, have done. Lesley hid Sam's make-up bag under one of the beds, and minutes later Sam came in to use it... to find it'd gone from the shelf near her bed.
She instantly asked where it'd gone and if anyone had taken it, and Lesley came across as 101% guilty bursting out with "what you asking ME for!?". Sam checked through every drawer and cupboard in the bedroom, despite being told by Lesley that she wasn't to look through hers, and then told that she could as she didn't have the bag.
Sam also checked the garden, before returning to the bedroom - pausing outside the door to put her ear to it to see if she was being talked about - she also left the room and re-entered it seconds later incase the housemates were talking about her or laughing, but fortunately for Lesley and gang they wern't saying a word.
The kitchen was the next port of call for the very wound up and upset Sam, as she checked through every cupboard, and even in the fridge freezer for her bag which she claims is "that big" whilst doing a hand gesture which changed size and shape every time she demonstrated the size.
A military style operation went on for nearly an hour with Sam roping in the others to try and find her bag, totally turfing over the contents of the bedroom three times, and looking under the covers of three beds which had people trying to sleep in them. Lesley then decided to remove the bag from under one of the beds and put it in the messy pile of clothing that Sam had already thrown all over the place as she was trying to turn it upside down.
It'd appear that at one point a housemate from the Lesley/Vanessa/Craig/Makosi group moved the bag to the bedroom toilet although it all happened under the cover of darkness.
So when Sam came in to the bedroom again, turning the light on whilst people were trying to sleep, Derek got a bit angry with her (he's in on the prank don't forget) and went to turn the light out. Next thing you know Sam has left the bedroom, and the light switch is broken. It'd appear either Derek or Sam smacked it with their hand, causing the plastic switch to shatter and leaving the wiring exposed in the mounting hole behind it. [video - speeded up in parts due to it lasting nearly an hour]
Second round of nominations
Housemates are making their second week nominations today, although when Big Brother announced that they'd start in 45 minutes at around 1:30pm you'd be forgiven for thinking it'd come as a huge suprise.
Vanessa said that she didn't realise it was now and thought they took place on Monday (erm, it is Monday Vanessa!) and a few other housemates clearly looked lost without a clue who they were going to nominate. Anthony and Maxwell both hinted that they had three housemates that they potentially wanted to name, although Anthony said one of them could make him appear two-faced.
But despite the warning being given by Big Brother, the nominations still hadn't started at 3pm - an hour and a half after the "45 minute" announcement... Has Big Brother given the clueless housemates a bit more time to prepare, to avoid them sitting around in the diary room undecided.
Maxwell sent to the Naughty Step!
However it all became clear why there had been a delay at just after 3pm, when housemates found Maxwell sitting outside on the "naughty step" in a nappy and babies bonnet, holding a big soft teddybear and a beaker with milk in it. Maxwell claims that the person that won the task (Saskia) chose the punishment, but didn't let on to the fact when she was there with the others making fun out of him, and still isn't now they've all been called to the Lounge to prepare for nominations which begin in a few minutes... apart from Maxwell who is still out on the step, looking rather gutted.
And the reason for his punishment? Setting fire to the Tottenham Hotspur underwear that Big Brother supplied to him yesterday due to him only having a couple of pairs of undies with him - they too were chosen by Saskia, who Maxwell has shown great affection for, but will he once he finds out she's been responsible for the recent actions...!?

Day 10: Science sent to the Loft
Posted by Simon at
12:17 AM
Housemates have been drinking beer and cider for a good few hours after receiving their weekly shopping earlier, and have decided that some foolery involving waterbombs may well prove entertaining...
...so at 1am, whilst housemates planned their attack - by suggesting they all went in to the Diary Room, whilst one of them runs in to the bedroom and waterbombs a sleeping Derek before running back to the diary room and safety - Science got an upperhand on them by filling some baloons and putting them in his bag.
He then stood in the Lounge area where no one would suspect him of anything, and pulled out a waterbomb drenching the sofa area and making Craig scream like a girl, before taking another one out and giving Lesley a full fascial shot totally soaking her and causing her to turn ever-so-slightly pissy with him. [video]
Things seem to have turned a bit sour though with Lesley clearly not happy and some others just wanting to enjoy their beers instead of soaking Derek... although it'd seem the general opinion is that they should still do it.
Science sent to the loft
Things got a bit too heated for Big Brother with Science first drenching housemates in the lounge area and then throwing a bin at Maxwell, and he was told by "the big man" to go to the Loft and stay there for the night instead of sleeping with the rest of the housemates in the main bedroom.
He protested saying that he had been made to look the "bad guy" but insisted he wasn't, by using a much-over-used Science phrase of "I'm no follower". He reckon's he a "leader" although quite what of, isn't too clear.
Saskia can count. Others can't
Saskia was the housemate that managed to count the highest during yesterdays task, and received her reward today - a personal secret mission.
She was told to go to the bedroom toilet where she'd find a monitor, headphones and two-way radio, allowing her to talk to Big Brother and could hear what was happening in the diary room for one housemate. Saskia picked Maxwell, and then asked him (via Big Brother) three questions. Maxwell didn't have a clue that he was both being watched and listened to by another housemate, yet alone the questions were coming from a fellow housemate.
Of course it caused confusion and a small amount of annoyance when Big Brother announced that a housemate had received their reward for winning the task, most of all from Maxwell who was instigating a questioning session with housemates trying to work out who it was that won, and what they got. Saskia understandably remained silent on the matter.

Day 9: Counting task replaces Saturday task
Posted by Simon at
12:50 AM
Housemates have welcomed in their ninth day in the house by enjoying beer and wine which was supplied to them after Mary was evicted last night.
The early hours of the morning provided for some relaxing time for the housemates to chat with each other, although Makosi decided to go to bed early - possibly with guilty thoughts about the fact she'd been responsible for who was evicted.
Boys will be boys... and Max will be a lad
Crazy lad Maxwell decided to lick Lesley's bum last night whilst she slept in her bed. The action woke her, and she asked what was going on, and Maxwell came out with the comment that he was "kissing arse"... of which Lesley accepted and simply went back to sleep.
Kemal argues with Roberto. Everyone argues with Roberto.
Kemal got in to a bit of an argument with Roberto at just after 4:30pm, challenging him over the fact that he's taking control of the kitchen by doing all of the cooking, when Kemal also wants to cook.
He also accused Roberto of giving larger portions to certain housemates during "communual cooking" and how he wasn't being fair sharing out ingredients. Kemal argued that age shouldn't be a reason for doing more cooking, although Roberto didn't seem to believe that was a consideration at all.
Things then turned a bit scary-Mary, when Kemal criticised Roberto of sprading his control around the house by putting his shoes in the dining area, and his clothes, and clothes all over the bed, and the fact that Roberto took the other bed and then also took the draws under the bed... strange though because at the time it was Kemal that was making all the fuss about the bed last night after Mary had gone, but now he seems to be backing out of that ever being the case... Is he taking lessons from Makosi?
Next thing Roberto has stormed out of the lounge where Kemal had collared him, and was in the bedroom moving piles of clothes, whilst being called childish by Kemal. But the whole group got involved when Kemal accused Roberto of moving his clothes without permission.
Happy families. Not.
1, 2, miss a few, 99, 100
Big Brother set housemates a strange task earlier, which doesn't sound too difficult to fail, but there must have been a twist somewhere. They had to count. The person that counted the highest was to get a reward - what could be more simple?
Apparently housemates donned various pieces of clothing including safety hats and goggles whilst having to count, although with it all going on in the diary room there wasn't anything to be seen by viewers of the live feed, meaning it'll be saved for the highlights show instead. Sam though found it considerably difficult, with the Channel 4 website claiming she "limped through the 30s and into the 40s".
And it's not even obvious if it was considered to be their Saturday Challenge, as one doesn't appear to have happened this week - possibly the first time (other than the first week of each series) where such a challenge hasn't been planned.
Last year the first Saturday Challenge saw housemates take to a roundabout which was spun round and round after they'd enjoyed a sickly sweet kids party.
Is this Question Time or something?
Derek, Roberto and Science spent over an hour discussing various topics which you'd probably expect to see talked about on Question Time rather than Big Brother. Other than Science's constant dropping of h's from words and coming out with some freestyle ghetto phrases, you'd have almost been able to wonder if you'd tune in to the wrong channel.
Princess Diana, Politics, Education, Behaviour of Children (of which Science said "back in the day when i was a kid"... which surely can't have been that long ago?) and more subjects than David Dimbleby would feel happy with.
Seems reasoned argument is possible in the house without voices getting raised, although all the other housemates were elsewhere in the house giving the trio a very wide berth.

Day 8: Mary first to be evicted
Posted by Simon at
09:25 PM
Mary is the first housemate to be evicted from the sixth series of Big Brother, after receiving more votes than Craig who was also up for nomination against her.
Upon hearing the news Mary looked quite dissapointed, no doubt made worse by the fact that the past 24 hours she's actually said she wanted to stay in the house - despite having claimed she wanted to walk on the first night, and had told Big Brother she wanted the cameras turned off after nominations were announced on Wednesday night.
A lonely walk to the front door (a new feature of Big Brother this year) followed some 30 minutes after the eviction result announcement, and then it was up the indoor stairs and out of the sliding front foors - to a mixture of cheers, whistles and boo's.
Makosi's mission revealed during interview
During the interview with Davina, Mary got to see what happened with Makosi passing her task and having to pick the two housemates for eviction. It appeared to be totally clear to her how it'd happened and clearly it all clicked in to place by seeing it confirmed on screen.
Of course, Mary now knows, but the rest of the housemates that are still playing the game (apart from Kemal) still don't know.
Booze all round!
Housemates have been given booze, possibly after the late-night request by Anthony, Maxwell and Science last night where they also asked for music for their poolside fun and games that were planned.
They wanted to get straight in to the drink, but Science insisted to have their meal first and to drink afterwards, and came out with some typical Science phrases which he'll no doubt incorporate in to a rap during his time in the house, as everything else seems to end up being the lyrics for an impromptue performance.
Day 8: It's WAR...ter fight!
Posted by Simon at
02:15 AM
Housemates had a chinese meal supplied to them by Big Brother last night, and the mood of the housemates that are still awake is much improved on previous nights.
At 2am the E4 live feed picked up on the fact that Craig appeared to have fallen asleep on one of the kitchen stools. He eventually moved to one of the seats by the bedroom, and sat there all on his own - clearly pondering the fact that within 24 hours he may well be evicted from the house.
Maxwell, Anthony, Saskia, Sam and Vanessa could be seen chatting in the lounge in the same camerashot, whilst Craig simply sat there isolated from the rest of the group.
Has Kemal just hinted about Makosi's secret?
Craig eventually decided that bed would be a better place to sleep than in the kitchen, and was joined by Vanessa at around 2:30am. There had been quite a bit of whispering just before Vanessa arrived in the room, with Kemal and Craig saying about things that were going on in the house.
Kemal was making some very strong hints about "13" and "unlucky" and how things had kept kicking off, and mentioned "Makosi". Although he didn't actually say about Makosi being the unlucky 13th housemate, and didn't say she'd nominated, he did appear to be hinting those sort of things... but will Vanessa and Craig have picked up on what he meant?
The Eye thinks it'd be a wise move by Kemal to spill the beans about Makosi's secret task and nominations, seeing as it's a game that they're playing, as if Makosi actually wants to win then at some point she's going to have to stab Kemal in the back to do so.
Also by Kemal telling the group he could become more popular with them for telling the truth and letting them know what's been going on, which could help keep him in the house for longer (although The Eye would be quite glad to see him go) and could be used as a way to turn the housemates against Makosi. Of course, if Kemal was to tell the group though he may find himself receiving the flack for not saying sooner, despite it not really being up to him to tell them... Makosi's played a very clever game, but how long can it last?
During the whispering viewers also got several views through the thermal-vision camera, although it gave less clear pictures than the normal cameras and was very blurry, and didn't "see under the covers" at all from the example footage seen. Interestingly those housemates that were awake could hear a beeping sound which seemed to coincide with the fact the camera was on... but should they hear this, and was it related or is something else going on in the bedroom or the camera runs behind the mirrors which they shouldn't have heard...
The lads want fun
4:30am, and all of the housemates are asleep in the bedroom apart from Maxwell, Anthony and Science who are in the Lounge. They're discussing games which they could play tonight, and have suggested a wet t-shirt contest and also a game of changing clothing in the pool. They all went in to the diary room to speak to Big Brother, and came out pleased that they'd get music for their entertainment.
Although the mood is never very high after an eviction, so the boys may well be dissapointed if the typical "early night" follows either Craig or Mary leaving the house.
After an all-night "bonding session" the boys decided yet more pranks were in order, and put the chairs from the dining room table around the bedroom - whilst making plenty of noise clanking them about. Big Brother however wasn't keen and told them to put them back.
And prankster Science found that someone had got to him first, by removing his duvet. At first he decided sleeping under a towel would do, but then told Makosi to roll over so as he could share a bed with her and Lesley...
All out in the sun
Housemates are catching some midday sun, including Mary who appears to have applied her makeup without looking in a mirror this morning - something which Maxwell picked up on and was laughed about by Mary.
Conversation covered various random sujects whilst the housemates passed the time, and at one point went from toast to toes (I suppose they sound similar) and Max commenting how large Craig's toes are, although the general opinion was that Kemal's toe is bigger.
Clearly it wasn't conversation that the boys wanted though, and they'd been looking as if they were trying to cause mischief ever since going out in to the garden, so it'd have come as no suprise that at 12:15pm Maxwell, Anthony and Craig started a waterfight, which soon involved almost everyone else. [video]
Time to pack the suitcases
6pm and the suitcases have arrived for Mary and Craig so as they can pack their clothes and belongings away before the eviction in around 3 hours time. Both think they're going tonight, and online polls on BB fansites show that it's a very close run thing with Craig originally being fave for the boot, but now Mary looking just as likely.
Updates from Day 8 will be posted as they happen...

Day 7: Second shopping list proves less of a problem
Posted by Simon at
11:25 AM
It's 'the morning after the fight before', and although there wasn't fisticuffs like in BB5's 'fight night', it certainly all kicked off last night and there's some sore heads this morning.
Derek was, as usual, first to be awake and was washing up in the kitchen when the alarm went off this morning at around 10am... and kept going for around an hour.
However it wasn't long before the first arguments started, including a squabble between Roberto and Kemal about the fact Kemal had taken the bag of Bran Flakes, and between Mary and Derek, when Derek told Mary that Saskia was doing the shopping list.
Last night Makosi, Lesley, Craig, Kemal and Mary made a definite decision that they were going to do the shopping list, no matter what anyone else cares. Seems this morning they can't care less and they've not even got out of bed yet, despite it being 11:20am.
Stabbed gnome found by Science!
Yesterday news broke on various websites that housemates had stabbed a gnome in the pool, and it was also covered in BBLB. But it seems not to quite be the case, as the same back-stabbed gnome is shown in the pre-recorded pieces of video which are shown when house action can't be shown for legal reasons.
However Science and Anthony came across a grim discovery earlier today when they found the same stabbed gnome laying face down in the garden. They're not too sure if he's been in the house all the time since the start of if he's been planted there by Big Brother overnight - possibly a hint towards Makosi's continued personal task where she's saying one thing and has done quite the opposite. [video]
Second week's shopping
The second shopping list has been completed, with Lesley, Vanessa, Craig and Kemal taking the blackboard, chalk and list of available products to the poolside. Interestingly Saskia joined the group to help them complete it, despite them including her in "the other group" during last night's arguments.
Science repeated the desire for Fish Fingers and Salad Cream, telling them that's all he was interested in and as long as he got those then "all t'ings would be good"
Lesley made the discovery that Cherryade has also been added to the list, for a whopping £50. Meanwhile Mary is moaning that she hasn't picked anything off of the list (and it's been her choice not to) and it'd seem news has reached Makosi that CherryAde is on there, so she's winding them up by trying to get them to add a bottle to the shopping - despite there's no way they can really afford it.
By 2pm the shopping list is complete, although the group don't know how much they've spent as they couldn't work out the figure and were having trouble adding it up. Craig does himself no favours with the others by stupidly saying "it probably comes to £500 pounds!!!!". Finishing of the list also coincides with Lunch being ready, although Makosi has taken to her bed where she can be heard crying, although the reason why is unclear.
Maybe it's her conscience getting the better of her, and realising she can't carry on living the lie.
Housemates given meal
With food supplies hitting a real low, and morale of the group also not being very high after the constant bickering, Big Brother has rewarded housemates with a Chinese meal.
It was well received by the hungry 13, and by 11pm they were sitting in the lounge singing various songs just like they were during Mary's birthday party earlier in the week.
Day 7: Arguments explode after nomination announcement
Posted by Simon at
12:20 AM
Nominations were announced last night, and as the 7th day started the arguments were rife, with Craig up against Makosi who had put his name and Mary's forward for this week's eviction.
There's some very two-faced comments being made, mainly between Makosi and Kemal who are on one "side" of the argument, and Craig, Lesley and Vanessa on the other, with Mary sort of split between the two and generally agreeing with what Craig is saying.
All of the other housemates are sitting in the lounge and garden having their own conversations, although when ever the E4 feed shows them the sound is dipped.
Just as the argument between the two "groups" had died down Anthony walked in from outside, and was immediately hit upon verbally by Mary who accused him of being fake and of his "group" (Max, Roberto, Saskia, Sam...) being fake.
Science is also arguing with Roberto, this time in the Kitchen. It'd seem most of the argument is revolving around food. Science doesn't seem particularly happy that Roberto also wants to show his cooking skills in the kicthen, and it just seems another clash of personalities between a strong minded Roberto and a loud won't-shut-up brash ghetto Science. "Ya get me? Dis-respek-ful innit."
Roberto's cooking skills aren't in question though, as in Science's own words "you make a mean salad and t'ings"... The Eye thinks Science is going to get the last word in this argument, like every conversation he's involved in.
