Day 18 of 18 - And the winner is... Bez!
Posted by Simon at
09:20 PM
Bez has won Celebrity Big Brother 2005, in somewhat of a suprise outcome seeing as all of the previous evictees and much of the public opinion expecting Kenzie to have been the odds-on-fave.
Brigitte was the first to be evicted from the house tonight, making her 3rd place in Celebrity Big Brother 2005, and re-uniting her with all of the former housemates who had turned up for the final show - even Germaine, John and Jackie!
Second place Kenzie followed some 20 minutes later, leaving Bez in the house all on his own to try and get used to the idea that he had become the winner.
Finally Happy Mondays star Bez walked free from the house to a mass of fireworks and cheers, and got an astounding 54% of the final vote.
Day 18 of 18 - Take it easy...
Posted by Simon at
08:59 PM
The final day in the Big Brother house has seen Bez, Brigitte and Kenzie taking it easy, as they count the final hours away before the winner is announced.
It's been a day of reflection and anticipation for the housemates, with all three of them clearly deep in thought about both their time in the house and what they'll have to catch up with once they get out.
And as part of their final day they gave each other massages as part of a task, with the reward of a pampering hamper from Big Brother.
The winner is announced tonight from 9pm, Live on Channel 4.

Day 17 of 18 - Bunch of Chavs!
Posted by Simon at
06:43 PM
The remaining three housemates are turning in to a right ol' bunch of Chavs - as part of a party being thrown by Big Brother to celebrate the task which they passed earlier today.
A selection of Chav outfits have been supplied for Bez, Brigitte and Kenzie to get dressed in whilst Big Brother sets up the party, which seems likely to last late in to the night, innit?
Within minutes the housemates were wearing a selection of finest Chav clobber, including medalions and chains that must surely have been supplied by the one and only Lizzy Duke, although Kenzie seemed a little confused to find that the trainers Big Brother had supplied appeared to be two left feet....!
Brigitte clearly doesn't get the British phenominon of a "chav", and is complimenting both Bez and Kenzie for clothes which suit them, whilst complaining that her top looks awful - yeh m8!
Strangely enough there doesn't appear to be a single trademark Burberry cap available to the housemates unless Bez has hidden it whilst he gets the rest of his naff clobber on that you'd not even see the likes of Dell Boy flogging down the local market.
Clearly the BB Producer that was tasked with getting the Chav clothing for this task/reward didn't quite understand what was required and seems to have gone for more Early-1990's Shellsuit and Kagool than 2005 Burberry Chav hat and shirt. They'd certainly get laughed out of the local Toys R Us carpark in their pink nova if they pitched up in gear like they've got on right now.
The Eye will get back to you with more from the Chav's and Kebab's party, later...

Day 16 of 18 - Caprice AND Jermey evicted
Posted by Simon at
09:59 PM
Caprice has become the fourth housemate to have been evicted from the Big Brother house, after receiving the least votes from the public to keep her in.
The dippy blonde American model had been heavily tipped as going by the bookies, and seemed a dead cert to be booted out tonight, and received a ridiculously small 5% of the vote count.
Davina's interview with Caprice didn't seem very probing, and seemed quite rushed after her "walk" from the house to the studio was all done live during the show instead of during an ad-break, and only really revolved around asking some very basic questions, and showing a couple of highlight packages without even asking her who she hoped might win.
Shock double eviction!
But there's a shock second eviction also going to happen tonight, and as soon as Caprice's interview was over Davina announced that the vote count was to be taken and the next evictee was to be announced after the break...
And shock it certainly was, as once-fave Jeremy has become the fifth person to have been evicted from the house. Housemates clearly didn't expect Davina to speak over the loud speakers in the house again tonight, and were standing around in the kitchen when her voice boomed over the speakers telling them that they were again "Live on Channel 4"
Jez received a slightly more respectable 12% of the vote, presumably from the remaining 4 and not counting when Caprice was still in the house.
Who wins... you decide...
So only Bez, Brigitte and Kenzie remain in the house, with the winner being announced and all of the evictions taking place in the grand final on Sunday.
Day 16 of 18 - Breakfast in bed, literally
Posted by Simon at
10:12 AM
Housemates have been given breakfast in bed this morning, courtesy of Big Brother - just it was literally In Bed, all over their beds infact.
Kenzie received a full English breakfast - sausages, bacon, beans, eggs - making a total mess of his bed sheets, right through to the matress, which was clearly soaked in the grease and fat from the food.
Caprice and Brigitte however jokingly commented that their breakfast wasn't even what they'd ordered when Big Brother had individually been asking them what they'd really like for breakfast when they were being called in to the diary room yesterday evening.
Bez was the only one to avoid the prank due to being in the bunk bed although he's now expecting to receive some similar foolery later in the day and seems to be somewhat nervous about what could happen...
The Eye will have more updates on the Breakfast in Bed prank as they unfold...

Day 15 - CBBS the shopping channel
Posted by Simon at
04:55 PM
Celebrity Big Brother Shopping channel has launched - well, as a mini task anyway.
Housemates have each been given a made up prop (and they clearly had very little effort put in to making some of them. Blue Peter sticky back plastic springs to mind) and have been told they will need to speak about it for a minute.
They have to give their endorsement to the product, which includes a silly made-up name which Big Brother has given to each of the products such as a "flangeshifter".
Suprisingly the housemates are standing in various parts of the house rehearsing their script as they think it up - something that you'd not expect some of them, especially Jeremy, would really need to do. Surely it's not that hard to talk about something in the style of a shopping channel, for only 1 minute?
The Eye thinks all you'd need to do is talk about what it's made out of, the colours, the shape, and re-itterate pointless facts a couple of times repeating what you've said in a slightly different way a couple of times... how can that be difficult?
It'd seem this is a fool-proof task which the housemates simply can't lose, and must have been thought up at the last minute to try and give the housemates a reward tonight after Kenzie flopped at his secret camera task.
Task passed!
Housemates have passed the Big Brother Retail Channel task, by all managing to present a 1 minute infomercial in the diary room, and shown on the plasma screen by the sofa's.
Big Brother will give the housemates a reward later this evening.
Day 15 of 18 - Kenzie has contraband camera?!
Posted by Simon at
11:59 AM
Kenzie would appear to have a tiny camera with him in the house, and is trying to secretly take snaps without getting caught - just of course, Big Brother sees everything.
The tiny camera, not much larger than an inch or two square, was in his dressing robe pocket, and whilst sitting by the hot tub chatting with Jeremy he was fumbling away... something which Big Brother's live feed on E4 instantly picked up on.
He then suddenly pulled the camera out - as caught by the Big Brother house cameras - took a snap of the poolside and quickly put it back in his pocket before walking off nervously to the bedroom.

Is it a personal task?
It's not known if the camera might be part of a personal task, similar to Caprice having to find the two clues which lead her to the secret room, and Jeremy having to name six Queen songs.
Kenzie fails personal task
At just before 3pm Big Brother gathered the housemates on the sofas to show them the best photos that Kenzie had taken... he only managed to get one good shot, and that was of himself. The rest were all of his thumb or fingers where they had got in the way of the tiny lense.
It would appear that he wasn't holding the button down long enough to take most of the photos and so when he thought he'd sneaked in a shot of a housemate he'd actually not taken a photo at all...
Because Kenzie failed his task, housemates won't get a reward.

Day 14 of 18 - Lisa is evicted during party
Posted by Simon at
09:37 PM
Lisa is the latest housemate to have been evicted from the house, whilst the rest of the group were enjoying a kids party - totally oblivious to the fact that she's just left them.
She was called to the diary room as the "seeker" in a game of "hide and seek" with the idea of making the other housemates hide whilst she was in the diary room...
...counting to 50, and the key phrase "coming to get you, ready or not" - "not" replied Big Brother. So Lisa said it again, and suddenly it all dawned on her. "not" ment "no, you aren't going to get them. you're leaving". Lisa's face was an absoloute picture.
The housemates don't have a clue that she's even gone - you'd think the mass of crowds outside screaming Lisa's name, and giving her plenty of boo's would have been enough to stir their thoughts slightly - but no, after several minutes (including an advert break on Channel 4) all of the housemates that are hiding, are still in hiding expecting Lisa to come and find them.
Of course, what Lisa doesn't appear to have figured just yet is that she was only margainly more liked than John, infact if John - who she absoloutely hated - had of been kept in for another week, she'd have been kicked out before him. Wouldn't that have just been bitter irony.
They've twigged all is not right
Around 15 minutes after Lisa was evicted, and during her live interview, Jeremy obviously realised something wasn't right as he'd not been found - or for that matter had anyone else.
With a puzzled and concerned look on his face he found Caprice, and said to her what he was thinking, before going on to find the other housemates one by one and breaking the news to them.
More soon...
Day 14 of 18 - Kids party eviction shocker
Posted by Simon at
04:19 PM
Housemates have been given a kids party task which is set to last all evening - but one of them will be going home early.
Earlier in the day the housemates started to rumble Big Brother's plans, with Kenzie saying that he remembered one of the housemates (Stuart) from BB5 leaving without any warning, during a party.
To try and shoot these thoughts down in flames, Big Brother called housemates to the sofa's about an hour later, and told them they would be called in to make their nominations for the next eviction...
...just those nomations will count for nothing, as the public are already voting on who's going, and the first eviction happens tonight - during the party.
Lisa is currently the bookies favourite to be kicked out, and it's believed to take a very similar plan to when Stuart was evicted, with the person who is leaving being called to the diary room, and simply not returning to the house.
The Eye will have further updates later...

Day 13 of 18 - Scoot along, is that a phone...?
Posted by Simon at
07:28 PM
Earlier today Jeremy found himself having to mention the name of six Queen songs to housemates, within 30 minutes and without making it obvious.
He pulled it off excellently and managed to strike off three of the six within a matter of seconds of leaving the diary room, and even managed to squeeze in "we will rock you" by saying "we will rock" to caprice, before turning round to Kenzie and Bez to say "you guys finished yet?".
The reward for this mini task was two battery powered electric scooters, although they provided very little interest for the housemates with only Jeremy and Caprice giving them a quick try in the garden, and Jeremy finding that one of them had a very low battery meaning it quickly ground to a stop.
Mobile phone inside the house?!
A mobile phone has been spotted inside the Big Brother house, although housemates aren't yet aware of it!
The phone is taped to the underside of the decking inside the house next to the sofa's - no doubt it'll be spotted by eagle eyed housemates as they're sitting just a few feet away from it awaiting the start of the task and it'd seem to be clearly visable in the reflection of a mirror over the other side of the room...
It's believed to be linked with the task which Big Brother has just revealed to them, which appears to be some sort of Bingo game.

Day 12 of 18 - John is evicted
Posted by Simon at
11:05 PM
John is the second housemate to be evicted from the Big Brother house, after getting less votes than Bez to be kept in.
Since the nominations were announced Bez was fairly sure that he was going to be up for the chop, and it wasn't obvious which housemate was more likely to go because of the fact that John was being kept in purely because of how aggrevating he's being.
The housemates look clearly releaved however that it was John that finally left the house, and it seems pretty likely they'll be able to get some peace and quiet for a few days without his shrill voice booming out comments and repeating things like "battery change kids, battery change!".
Bez however didn't take the news well, much like how John didn't take the news that he was to stay atleast a few more days when Jackie was evicted last week - he clearly has had enough in the house now and finally wants out ...or booze.
Vote to win
There will be no further nominations in the Celebrity Big Brother house now, with just the public voting for who they want to win, and a single eviction taking place on both Wednesday and Friday night, before the big final on Sunday.

Day 11 of 18 - Chill-out-Sunday
Posted by Simon at
10:55 PM
Housemates have been given a relaxation and revitalisation task, with the house being decked out with dreamcatchers, and the housemates wearing hippy robes.
However it looks like they might have already failed this task for similar reasons to the Medieval task that they tried to complete last week - simply not bothering to fully read the rules and then thinking before they did something.
Three housemates gradually owned up to wearing their own clothes over the top of the robes, which upon re-reading the rules seemed to result in a fail - enough fails infact to completely fail the task all together.
As part of the task they've all been given flower-power tree-hugging style names - Caprice: "Kharma", Bez: "Rainmaker", Kenzie: "Laughing Junior", John: "Mars", Lisa: "Happy Wu", Jeremy: "Sun God", Brigitte: "Matti".
There are two housemates nominated for eviction...
...and they are, in alphabetical order, Bez and John.
It'd seem highly likely that it'll be "bye bye John" as Bez surely has many more fans who will want to keep him in, although there must be a real case of John being kept in for "entertainment" purposes as he's managing to get so many housemates backs up with his loud brash voice and bizarre ways.
The second eviction of the series takes place live on Channel 4 on Monday night.

Day 10 of 18 - Ghoulish challenge
Posted by Simon at
06:25 PM
Housemates have been set a ghost train challenge, which if they complete it sucessfully, will see them rewarded with a party.
After being locked in the bedroom for well over two hours, giving the housemates plenty of time to get ready, the housemates still took around 15 minutes to prepare themselves for the task, repositioning their microphones and re-positioning their ghoulish oufits...
...once it got going however it was some of the funniest Big Brother viewing you'll have seen yet, with Jeremy shouting out orders to the blindfolded Ghost Train driver, with the first attempt being Bez.
And at one point you'd be forgiven for thinking Bez didn't understand the difference between left and right as he popped baloon after baloon on the ground - they wern't ment to be popped but it was totally un-avoidable.
It was all going pretty well though, up until John's go, when he got in to the Ghost Train and looked nervous as hell, with his left hand wobbling about in the air instead of on the controls and his head bobbing about comically every time the train moved in any direction...
...until all of a sudden it just broke down, without him even getting anywhere near the first "bridge" where baloons hung down full of ice water and gunk.
Infact, John had a breakdown in more ways than one (watch the video!)
Did they pass or did John blow it?
It wasn't clear if the group had passed or failed with the Ghost Train breaking down - the housemates certainly hadn't completed the challenge because John hadn't completed the course, but with no way of doing so it seemed certain that his attempt would have to be accepted by Big Brother.
Fortunately Big Bro appears to have had a good heart tonight, and the housemates are now enjoying German Beer in some fairly shocking costumes (of which John had great trouble hauling himself in to the stretchy black shorts) and having impromptu burping contests whilst dancing away around the living area near the sofas.
The Eye will have more about the challenge, as it happens...

Day 9 of 18 - Jackie has been evicted
Posted by Simon at
10:01 PM
Jackie is the first housemate to be evicted from Celebrity Big Brother, after receiving the least votes from the public to herself from being booted out.
As the news was announced by Davina over the loud speakers in the house, racing pundit John (who was up for eviction against Jackie) looked absoloutely devostated - he really wanted to leave the house...
...and for that matter the fellow housemates were quite looking forward to him also leave tonight - although it was pretty certain that out of the pair, they'd rather have the result that they've ended up with, and that crazy lazy yank leaving sooner rather than later.
Just one minute after the evictee had been announced, Jackie walked down the exit corridoor to a huge baying crowd who were cheering and booing, giving her a very mixed reception which she didn't really seem to know quite how to handle and just stood there looking silly saying "thank you".
The Eye will have more from the eviction later...
Day 9 of 18 - Weird twist for Caprice
Posted by Simon at
05:25 PM
Caprice ended up volunteering herself for a challenge earlier today, simply by going to the diary room.
She was given clues by Big Brother, and eventually found that pulling one of the glass rods in the garden wall caused a door to slide open - near to where the carriage was parked during the royal task - revealing a long corridoor.
At the end of the corridoor was a small room, in which Caprice became comfortable not knowing what to expect - and she certainly didn't expect what happened next...
...it went up in the air, like a lift!
Once up there she caused quite a stir for the housemates, but soon noticed a huge screen across the compound which only she could see, and said that Big Brother wanted to reveal a secret with her and only her.
But before this secret would be revealed, she has to unravel the next clue which is "Knowledge can only be achieved through reflection. Seek out the circle of greater wisdom, it will open with the words, 'You're looking mighty fine'."
The housemates are all trying to ask her for more information, especially what she saw of the outside world, but obviously she's not allowed to say and really wants to know what's going to happen to her next!
The second hidden room is...
The Eye can reveal that it's the small mirror in the wall to the left of the diary room door which leads to Caprice's second part of the task.

view of the same area during BB5, and CelebBB

View of the mirror which has since been shown on E4's live coverage
After looking at 100's of screencaptures taken during BB5, The Eye has spotted that there's a clear difference in that part of the wall - just it doesn't appear to have caught the attention of Caprice yet. Especially with mother-in-law-from-hell Jackie just sitting across the room, making it hard for her to say the phrase 'You're looking mighty fine'.
It'd seem that this leads through to a second room, possibly a small tunnel through to where the "bedsit" room was during Big Brother 5, where Michelle and Emma stayed for several days before returning to the main house and that big fight!

Day 8 of 18 - John and Jackie up for eviction
Posted by Simon at
02:08 PM
Jackie and John have been nominated for eviction by their fellow housemates, in the first eviction of Celebrity Big Brother.
Lisa and Caprice immediately left for the Sauna where Lisa was saying that she was glad that she wasn't first - clearly Lisa nominated both of the nominated pair as she said that it was easy with those two, before saying that she shouldn't talk about nominations.
It'd seem highly likely that Jackie will be kicked out first - she's done nothing, she's a freak, and although John is an utter weirdo he does offer quite a bit to the house in the form of arguments and some bizarre comedy value which simply must see him stay a little longer.
The Eviction takes place on Friday, live on Channel 4.

Day 7 of 18 - Jackie sleeps, non-stop

...well no wonder if she just bloody sleeps constantly!

Day 6 of 18 - Germaine has left the house!
Posted by Simon at
01:30 PM
At around midday today Germain was called to the diary room, and moments later returned with her suitcase, saying she'd been told by Big Brother that she had to pack it - at 12:45pm today, she left the house.
She was making it sound like she didn't know why she'd been given her suit case and like she'd been thrown out. Turns out that she'd actually asked Big Brother for her suitcase so as she could leave - somewhat guzumping Brigittes leaving which is expected to happen later today.
It's quite suprising as the lead-up to Germaine packing her case was quite light hearted and seemed to be enjoyed by Germaine - she was playing bottle caps with Jeremy in the heated seating area near the sauna, and was generally getting on with things as if nothing un-towards was about to happen.
She certainly hid her desires to leave straight away, very well.
More on this news: http://bigbrother.channel4.com/bigbrother/news/newsstory.jsp?id=121
Will there be new housemates?
Thing is, with 2 of the original 8 now gone (assuming Brigitte does leave), will they bring 2 more celebs in? Or maybe 1 more, or just not bother? It's all looking a bit pear shaped for Channel 4 after they shook it up a bit. Atleast John is no longer on strike - he's been talking all day, drinking black coffee and eating "tomato on toast".
What do you think of Celebrity Big Brother so far? Has Jackie's arrival been good or bad for the show? And did it cause both Germaine and possibly Brigitte to leave? Have your say in our special Celeb BB forum topic.
The Eye will have more from the house as it happens...
Day 6 of 18 - Massive argument, and Bridgette to leave?
Posted by Simon at
04:31 AM
A massive row has broken out overnight in the Big Brother house, which saw a number of the housemates still awake in the sofa area at 4am whilst Bridgette was in the Diary Room speaking with Big Brother wanting to leave.
On her exiting of the Diary Room she told Lisa, Caprice, Kenzie and Bez that she was "leaving", before going on to say that Big Brother said he didn't want her to leave and to think it over. However Bridgette says that she wants to pack her bags first thing in the morning and both Kenize and Caprice said they'd help her pack... not at all trying to prevent her from leaving.
It'd appear that things came to a head around 2:20am when several of the housemates finally snapped, and it all kicked off. Lisa and Bridgette stormed in to the bedroom staging a revolt saying that they were no longer going to do the task, meaning the somewhat crazy Medieval royalty task was bought to an early end - probably just as well seeing as they'd almost definitely failed anyway.
It was a combination of booze and the arrival of the wacky Yank Jackie, who was coming out with some bizarre shit with palm readings and stuff that was getting just a little too much for the housemates.
A very drunk Kenzie went off on a "fuck this fuck that fucking fuck it" rant like he had just a couple of nights before when they played Spin the Bottle and signalled the start of John's two day silence.
Bridgette's words to one of the cameras that was focussed on her were "big momma is out of here" and blamed it on Big Bro putting the mother-in-law in the house.
It's not too clear where the other housemates are - presumably both Jeremy, John and Germaine are in their beds in the bedroom, whilst Jackie must be asleep in the waterbed in the extra bedroom to one side.
Looks like Channel 4's idea of putting someone in to cause a bit of tension has certainly worked, but if Bridgette does walk in the morning then the overall plan has back-fired pretty badly. Especially seeing as Jackie is hardly likely to survive the first public vote that she comes up against - if she doesn't walk from what she considers a hell-hole anyway!
Best thing for Channel 4 and Celeb Big Bro in general would surely be to throw Jackie back out, and just forget that she ever arrived - it certainly looked like it could work to start with (mad yank arrives, causes lots of interest, refreshes the show and removes the boredom due to freak factor) but clearly that's not the case, and her being sent packing within hours of her arrival might be the better solution.

Day 5 of 18 - 9th housemate is Jackie Stallone
Posted by Simon at
09:54 PM
The ninth housemate has entered the house, billed as being The Queen Mother, and has been revealed as Jackie Stallone - Bridgettes ex-Mother-in-Law.
Jackie Stallone is the mother of Bridgettes former husband Sly Stallone, and it's reported that Jackie and Bridgette haven't spoken to each other since Bridgette and Sly divorced a few years ago.
It'll be interesting to see quite how the odd looking American mother-in-law is going to fit in to the house - she's clearly been watching events so far although doesn't seem too clued up with some aspects of the show, and honestly doesn't have a clue about UK customs and ways.
Being an American she seems very outspoken with her views, and has already said that the man sitting down not speaking (John) looks like he needs a therapist. He's not spoken a word to her since she entered the house - hardly a pleasent welcoming from the Channel 4 Racing pundit.
Even stranger welcome...
Of course, all of the housemates (bar John) are dressed in Medieval clobber, so they already look strange - making the view that Yanks have about us all living in castles all that more bizarre for Jackie.
They have also showed them around the house and to the bedroom, where she found that they have horsehair style blankets for their bedding - of course they wern't like that to start with and are just part of the task, so presumably things will return to more modern refined comforts before too long.
Nominations for eviction
Jackie will be exempt from Nominations this week, but will be taking place in making her votes known in the diary room, along with all of the other housemates, with the two or more that are selected going up for vote by the public.
Germaine looking like a battleaxe
Bridgette and Germaine are the only housemates in the Kitchen area whilst the rest are walking around the bedroom, and they look pissed-off-to-fuck about Jackies arrival - especially Germaine.
Both of them are talking to each other in some foreign language, possibly Spanish, Italian or Mexican - useless for the viewers to understand what's being said and of course Big Brother hasn't got a clue what's going on either.
This new arrival has certainly caused a bizarre shift in proceedings.
More to follow...
Day 5 of 18 - Failed from the off
Posted by Simon at
02:32 PM
It looks like the housemates may have struck up three fails in the task for today alone, before they'd even got out of bed.
Not only do they get one failure by default for John continuing to not take part, but there were two further blunders during the early hours of the morning which broke the rules.
The housemates however decided to go on with the show and continue to take part in the costumed events which Big Brother threw at them - although by 2:30pm there hadn't actually been any tasks set down, and things were starting to become somewhat boring.
Confusion over the time
Housemates hadn't woken up until quite late this morning, and there was some confusion over if Big Brother may have changed the clock on the cooker to be different from the real time - it doesn't appear that it has changed, but more a good nights sleep was had by all, causing them to rise much later than usual.
And adding to the fact that they thought it was a different time from the real time, it got very dark in the skies above the house around 2pm - causing housemates to think it may be around 5pm - promptly followed by a heavy rain shower. Totally throwing them in to a spin over what the time may or may not be.
Is John going to make it out alive?
After striking all day yesterday and not having anything to eat, John has gone on to spend another day doing nothing - he seems to be fighting two wars now:
1) That he hasn't been given his Diet Cokes.
2) That they are rapidly running out of food.
Trouble is, with him eating nothing his blood sugar levels and energy levels must be at an all time low, and he's looking very distant - surely before long he's either going to have to give in, be force fed, or be seen by the Big Brother doctor as he's seriously not looking very well.
New housemate to join tonight?
A live show presented by Davina is expected to see a housemate enter the house tonight at 9pm on Channel 4. It's rumoured that it'll be someone well known to one of the housemates - possibly a current or previous partner, or a family member such as a mother-in-law.
The Eye will bring more news from the house later today...

Day 4 of 18 - Queen Lisa, and John's right royal strop
Posted by Simon at
10:05 PM
Housemates have been given a multi-day task today, which has seen them being given roles as part of a medieval royal family, with Lisa being the Queen.
However John hasn't said a word all day - he's totally snubbed them because he's saying he won't take part in anything until he gets his Diet Coke from Big Brother.
Big Brother, however, obviously wasn't going to give in to John's demands and so that's been the situation all day - a total stand-off by moody John, who has spent most of the day sitting in the egg-chairs, and for quite some time sleeping in them, or atleast pretending to be asleep if he wasn't really.
It looks pretty likely that the group will have failed due to John not taking part, although they're hoping that it'll simply count as one of the three daily fails that they can make.
Pluckin' good fun
Housemates have been given a mini challenge as part of the task - to pluck the feathers from chickens which are strung up in the courtyard, just the birds seem past their best and apparently whiff to high heaven and are breaking apart with the skin tearing off as the feathers are removed... all described in great detail by country-girl-know-it-all Germaine who seems to know everything there is about giving a bird a good plucking.
Plenty of advice is coming forth, but it's all a bit after it'd have been useful as the other housemates rip the birds to shreads, and as Bez exclaimed "oh hell there's shit coming out of the arse man!" followed by "does anyone want to do this birds arse area"...
Another classic Big Brother task which will go down in history.
Evil twist with the cola
Big Brother got a bit evil earlier, by inviting the housemates bar John in to the diary room one at a time, and giving them a glass of cold refreshing diet cola. They didn't have to drink it, but couldn't remove the glass from the diary room. Basically it was a way to give the entire house Diet Coke which John wasn't having.
To make things even more funny housemates were talking about the fact they'd had diet coke within earshot of the half-asleep John, who just sat there continuing to look pissed off with things.

Day 3 of 18 - It's all kicked off today...

11:51 PM
The third day in the house for celebrity housemates saw them having to complete an obstacle course to gain access to their shopping, but this was all the start to the first major argument.
Shopping list means it's a challenge
All eight of them donned boiler suits and numbered bibs, which would represent the number in which they completed the course, with John in bib 8 pushing the playground roundabout at a minimum speed of 17rpm.
They all did fairly well, although Caprice had her basketful of food disallowed because John didn't keep the speed of the roundabout up. However Big Brother gave John a chance to win the key for the alcohol store if he went through the course, and, slowly but surely and without really wanting to, through he went.
Drinking games lead to fights (or did that start before the drinking?)
Argumentitive John seemed to get in a strop before the day was out, and decided to start sulking, and stopped talking. The strop seemed to be bought on by the fact that no Diet Coke had been resuced from the obstacle course during the challenge, and so he said he'd do nothing for Big Brother until they bought him some.
And nothing he did. Just sat there like a spoilt child, snubbing anyone that tried to help or talk it over. An early sign that not all was well in the house, and likely to cause sparks once the drinking was underway...
So drink they did
The arrival of booze saw the housemates (or most of them) get well stuck in, and it wasn't long before it'd gone, although thankfully Brigitte egged on by Caprice and Lisa decided they should play a game of Spin the Bottle.
Suprisingly Jeremy didn't seem as interested to take part, and totally unsuprisingly Germain rather quickly retired to the bedroom so as she had a minimal amount to do with it.
and then once drunk, they brawled
Far from being a "fight night" scene, but the punches were being thrown in the sense of harsh words and bitter comments about each other - or more to the point about John, who had stuck himself out on a limb and was receiving all the flack from his housemates.
Every last aspect of his ways came under attack from one angle or another, with some fairly victriolic attacks being made - which resulted in a swear-fest from Kenzie once all the housemates decided it was time for bed, because an all-mighty argument broke out between him and John.
Kenzie f****** flipped
It was all because Big Brother had asked Kenzie to close the bedroom door (which John had been wedging open to get some fresh air in to the room and had already caused problems since the first night) because Big Brother wanted to do their overnight maintenance. A fair request by BB, because it's the only way they can separate the garden from the housemates whilst they sleep.
John, being the argumentitive cunt that he is, couldn't care less about Big Brother though, and replied back to Kenzie that he was "a little twerp" for following Big Brother's instructions and talked to him as if Kenzie was "a little fucking boy" to use Kenzie's words.
Infact, Kenzie really unleased his anger in the bedroom, going off on a right old rant about John and how he was being "patronised 'coz i'm 19!". It's not too clear if he was just pissed off with John, slightly too drunk, or was doing it to cause a ruck in the house seeing as everyone else was also so clearly pissed off with the racing pundit.
Brigitte also took on John chipping in mid-argument, with her voice barking out over everyone else, whilst the housemates were trying to calm their "baby" Kenzie down, and Lisa told John to "shut the fuck up or ship out"
Lisa and Caprice (who seems to have a thing for Kenzie, much like he does for her) were ensuring Kenzie came to no harm, and were giving him plenty of hugs to let him know not to be upset and to back him up against John. Infact at one point Kenzie walked off to the kitchen to promptly be followed by Caprice who whispered in his ear a few times and hugged away at him like some sort of soft toy.
On Kenzie's return to the bedroom the insults were still being thrown at John, and a general consensus being aired by the housemates that his patronising hurtful (and hugely funny on TV) ways wern't really welcome any longer in the house.
The Eye wonders what the mood of the house will be like in the morning...?

Day 2 of 18 - A slow first full day...

11:33 PM
The first full day for the celebrity housemates has been a slow one, with none of them sleeping very well during their first night in the house, and only being woken up by the sound of badly played bagpipes at around 10am.
Most of the time they stood around doing very little, with the chance of dozing back off to sleep appealing to many of the housemates more than anything else, and at one point the gale force winds that were lashing the country today caused one of the sails over the garden to rip and fall down, slightly injuring Bez as he tried to stop it hitting in to the others.
And it was at this point that Big Brother instructed housemates in to the bedroom so as they could lock them in there to remove the offending item, that the first real argument appeared to break out with the ever-outspoken John getting the group wound up as he's been attempting to do since first setting foot in the house.
First task
Big Brother called the housemates to the sofa area slightly later in the day, and eventually they made their way there showing the same lack of "able to follow instructions" as any common member of the public playing the game - does being in the Big Brother house make you incapable or something?!
They ended up having to pick named luggage tags at random, and place them in an envelope - the speculation from housemates was that they were to be made to dress in the clothes of the person they had picked, although with some massively different shapes and sizes (such as John picking Caprice) this was obviously not going to be the case.
Instead housemates were later in the day called to the diary room one at a time, and asked a series of questions about their fellow housemates, with correctly guessed answers saving items of clothing which had been selected by Big Brother from the suitcases.
Jeremy however had his entire case of clothes on the line and Kenzie answered the almost impossible to answer question incorrectly, meaning Jez only has the clothes he entered the house in to wear... not really a problem seeing as he went in with about five layers of clobber.
Shopping list time
The shopping list has also been drawn up, although as ever they managed to get it wrong and it came back for last minute correction with a few final changes and additions being throw in to ensure the budget was used to the max.

Celebrity Big Brother is back!
Posted by Simon at
09:11 PM
Tonight Celebrity Big Brother has returned to our screens - a couple of years after Channel 4 said they wouldn't do any more of them despite it being "hugely popular".
There has, as ever with Big Brother, been a ton of speculation from the tabloid press about who's in and who's out, and all the other plans for the show. Although until it actually happens it's all just a big bag of rumours.
The Eye will be keeping a close eye on everything as it happens in the (z-list) Celeb BB House, where there's 8 housemates battling it out for up to 18 days.
The House:
Since Nadia was the final housemate to leave the house back in the summer (exactly five months ago to the day!), it has received a re-paint with the living room and kitchen area looking fairly similar, although the diary room is darker to match the Celeb BB paint scheme, whilst the grass has been ripped up from the garden and replaced with astroturf panels.
The jacquzi remains, although the hot tub baths have been replaced with a hot-bot seating area. A sauna has been placed in the hut, and there are 6 single beds and one bunk bed - plus a seperate private double-bed room.
The Housemates:
John McCririck - The outspoken loud nutty Channel 4 horse racing commentator.
Germain Greer - Femanist
Caprice - Wonderbra Girl model/actress
Bez - DJ/Musician... and totally unknown by the celebs in the house it'd seem.
Lisa I'Anson - Presenter/Radio DJ
Jeremy Edwards - Actor
Kenzie - from Blazin' Squad
Bridgette Nielsen - Actress/model
18 days, and 8 celebs wanting to (re-)start their careers... ?The Eye will get back to you...
