Day 6: First week nomimations announced - Makosi picks Mary and Craig!
Posted by Simon at June 1, 2005 12:01 AM

Housemates have entered in to their 6th day of the Big Brother experience, with Roberto and Mary making their peace after yesterdays argument about the toilet.

Mary has explained that she got upset with Roberto because she felt he was blaming her, but actually agrees with what he was saying. There's clearly a clash of personalities between the pair with Mary wanting to just get on with things, whilst Roberto has a more firey attitude to life and seems to not want to simply let things go.

It's all turned out quite amicable with Mary realising she misunderstood where Roberto was coming from, and saying that she "100% agrees" with him, although claims she still has issues with Saskia who she claims to have not liked since the first night.

Amazingly enough at 1:45am Derek is still awake and hasn't gone to bed - so much for his "lights out" rule...! At just past 2am he entered the loft and joked how "grandpa is being frightfully trendy by staying up past two in the morning".

Meanwhile Max, Craig, Anthony, Lesley and Sam decided that a late night dip in the pool would be a good move, on a night which has actually turned out one of the most positive in the house yet - people have mended their ways and appologised for misunderstandings which had dogged their experience so far, although Science was still remaining mouthy as he talked (or shouted) in rap at every opportunity.

That is all apart from the gang of housemates that are formed by Makosi (who might still be acting it up), Kemal and Science who just infuriate The Eye with their petty prancing around and annoying "personalities", and have been joined with Mary who had spent the past few minutes trying to appologise to Saskia about the fact that they'd not got to know each other yet.

Derek first to wake, again
Derek was first to wake at around 9am, and at just after 10am the alarm went off waking the rest of the housemates. It didn't take long however for them to realise there was no sugar and very little milk left, although it doesn't seem that Max and Anthony have admitted to using it all last night on a cup of tea.

Kemal also tried to fill the washing tub with hot water at around midday after rain put a dampener on the idea of going for an outdoor shower, although it didn't quite go to plan as the metal tub appears to have a leak, resulting in it leaving a big puddle on the carpet near the patio doors. [video]

Science had advised him against the idea, and even after Kemal decided that the tub wasn't going to work and having filled a bin instead, he still got the non-stop advice from Science that almost filling it nearly to the top before Kemal got in would result in water going everywhere - on an already soaked kitchen floor.

Nominations revealed
Anthony: Derek, Makosi
Craig: Makosi, Kemal
Derek: Sam, Saskia
Kemal: Maxwell, Sam
Lesley: Sam, Makosi
Makosi: Roberto, Anthony
Mary: Saskia, Roberto
Maxwell: Makosi, Vanessa
Roberto: Science, Vanessa
Sam: Vanessa, Derek
Saskia: Mary, Craig
Science: Roberto, Maxwell
Vanessa: Sam, Roberto

Makosi, Sam and Roberto all got 4 votes, meaning they're all immune from eviction this week as Makosi passed her task by getting the most nominations. Lesley was the only housemate not to be nominated at all by any other housemate.

This means that housemates that received less votes than Makosi, Sam and Roberto are going to be up for eviction. The Eye believes this to be Maxwell (2 nominations), Derek (2 nominations), Saskia (2 nominations), Vanessa (3 nominations) - Davina is to announce exact details before the end of the Live show, and it's bound to cause confusion in the house as those four will feel like they're hated most.

SHOCK Nomination twist - Makosi picks eviction pair!
As Makosi passed her task, she got called in to the diary room and was told her good news... well, it was good news until she was then told she had to pick the two who would be up for eviction this week.

She chose Mary and Craig to be up for the public vote with the eviction this Friday. On leaving the diary room Big Brother told housemates to gather on the sofa, however Makosi grabbed Kemal and dragged him in to the bedroom to reveal the news of her personal task, that she'd passed and then had to pick two other housemates.

The Eye wants Craig to be evicted this week.

Remarkably even after the news had been announced to the housemates in the sofa area, Makosi was still seen telling lies, and to Kemal - the person who she had specifically told the news and hasn't as yet revealled it to anyone else. She told him that she screamed in the Diary Room because she'd been called in to get Cherry Tango and Big Brother told her that she had won it... where does this girl stop her fibs?! Surely Makosi will be up for eviction next week when the housemates finally find out.

Housemates given booze to celebrate, or commiserate...
At just after 11:30pm Anthony was called in to the Diary room, and returned with a tray full of beer and bottles of wine. The news has been met with great excitement by the housemates, although Mary hasn't been feeling happy all evening (since before the nomination announcement) and so far hasn't taken any interest in the booze.

And then the tears...
There's been quite a bit of bitchy comments made since the nomination announcement, and at just before midnight Craig went off on a highly emotional rant against Makosi, before bursting out in tears on his bed - for the second time since being in the Big Brother house. [video]

The action continues in to Day 7...
