Day 4: Mary gets her Wicked Witch party
Posted by Simon at May 30, 2005 10:29 PM

Mary has been given a 31st birthday party by Big Brother, which has seen the kitchen area decked out in witch-related items including cobwebs and spiders, and a birthday cake which has a witch on top of it that apparently contains toothpicks!?

Since receiving their witches costumes and other outfits the mood in the house seems to have lifted, and Mary is clearly in her element having what she's described as "a fucking amazing time!!!".

She also took to the garden with Kemal to "dance with snakes in our mouths" at around 11pm, in a bizarre scene which looks set to be continued long in to the night as the housemates get steadily more drunk... [video]

Various games have started up although haven't got very far because none of them can really take to any of the games being suggested, which have included Murder in the Dark and Blind Man's Buff, although neither of those suggestions were taken up.

Call that singing...?
However awful singing which would give even witches the frightners has taken over the slightly sloshed housemates with Craig attempting to woo the audience that had assembled in the Lounge area, before Makosi sung in to a bottle and then "me me me" Lesley decided it was her turn giving a real cat-strangling attempt at a song before saying that she can sing others and that wasn't the best... thankfully E4 went to a break just as she burst out with the next fingers-in-ears noise that is being passed off as "singing".

...she'll probably leave the house with a career in the music industry...

Mary still seems in very high spirits though, and housemates appear to be having a highly enjoyable time... although Science's rap turned more in to a rant as he went on and on and on, and then ranted at his housemates with plenty of "fuckin's" about them interrupting him. Nothing like spoiling a party eh? Could a fight be boiling up in the cauldron that is the Big Brother house?

Roberto followed him and totally parodied him taking the piss out of him swearing at the housemates and complaining about the interruptions, making Science look very small - didn't stop him ranting though and trying to get the last word. Saskia however proved suprisingly impressive with her singing (of which she claimed afterwards she can't sing), which will no doubt rub Lesley's face in it yet further as Saskia yet again manages to woo the housemates better than the Huddersfield lass had managed.

It's all very reminiscent of Michelle from BB5 singing, and every song sounding exactly the same, despite the original not sounding anything like that. Why doesn't Big Brother ban housemates from singing? The Eye's ears hurt.

By 1am housemates had clearly become bored of the singing - mainly because Lesley had taken to the mic again and was providing an endless rendition of songs that lasted about 15 seconds before she suddenly realised she didn't know the next line or just decided she didn't want to sing that song...

Makosi suggests a game of Spin the Bottle
However the idea fell a bit flat with several housemates having made their way to the kitchen during the past 10 minutes to avoid the earache that was bound to happen if they stayed much longer, so instead Sam suggests a game of Truth or Dare that the housemates seem to prefer the idea of.

Although with Sam going first and saying she'd prefer to do a Dare than tell the Truth, she quickly declined the first half-dozen dares that her fellow housemates suggested...!

Having realised that Truth or Dare wasn't going to work after Lesley refused her dares saying she's "not snoging no one", Derek boldly suggested "let's play spin the bottle...!" claiming that it'd work better - he'd just minutes before said he'd never played it before.

Within a matter of minutes though Derek had left the lounge, after receiving a couple of probing questions when he opted for a "truth" on his turn, and clearly realising the game wasn't quite what he was expecting...

Mary's party seems to have turned flat rather quickly, and the gossiping and bitching continues into the early hours of Day 5.
