An hour to go... latest news and rumours

There's just an hour to go until the sixth series of Big Brother starts, and the papers have been full of yet more fact and fiction on the final pre-launch day.
27 Gnomes
Apparently there's 27 garden gnomes in the BB house, one of which is said to be fitted with a spy camera which will keep tabs on housemates when they think they're out of the cameras view!
It's also been said that any housemate "damaging" a gnome will be punished. Which brings us nicely on to rumours of a "naughty stone" which troublemakers will have to stand on when they've misbehaved. Apparently there's a red slab in the garden where those breaking the rules will be sent to - no matter what the weather - and told to stand there until they've learnt their lesson.
Sofa swap...
The green sofa which had been seen in publicity photos has apparently been replaced, after it was said to be causing people to get a rash from being scratchy. Formerly arranged in two rectangles of three multi-height pieces, it's now a bright orange design and positioned in a more normal (for Big Brother) square.
Hopefully the new arrangement will mean many late-night drinking games, as housemates will all be much nearer to each other now, instead of being spread out and distant which the green sofa would have been previously.
It'd also appear that there's one seat on it's own - almost like a "head of table" arrangment, leading to the possibility that a "head of house" or "team leader" may well be appointed tonight... whether housemates realise it or not.
Housemates revealed? - maybe
The Mirror claims an exclusive on details about the new housemates, although other papers also carried the very same "exclusive" story, and it's not as if it really tells us anything if you were to take a stab-in-the-dark as to the mix of housemates that we might see from 9pm tonight.
"11 are single, two are gay and two are bisexual" whilst one is "a soldier in the elite Parachute Regiment" and another used to be a "professional windsurfer and basketball player".
Three housemates are said to be from another country (much like Nadia from Portugal, and Vanessa from South Africa), and one has had cosmetic surgery on her breasts and another has such a high-profile job which papers claim may mean "viewers recognise them".
Find out at 9pm!
One way to find out for sure is to watch the Live launch show on Channel 4 tonight at 9pm, where Davina will reveal the house in full (apart from any secrets of course!) before letting loose the new housemates who will "enjoy" the next 11 weeks (said to be 78 days, 77 somewhere else, 71 if you read somewhere else, and 100 days in some of the tabloids - no one's too sure yet) of televisual viewing pleasure.
There's also the launch of E4 on Freeview which is claimed to open up the live streaming to around 11m more viewers this year - just it all depends on if you can get the channel to tune in or not. E4+1 is said to be working fine on some viewers boxes, whilst E4 is still a blank black screen (mine included) and there's also talk of channel 705 giving a message about interactive viewing, just not everyone has managed to even get that channel showing up!
The Eye will have full coverage of the launch show, from 9pm - don't miss it!
