Vanessa is the first housemate to be properly evicted from the Big Brother house, having received more votes from the public than her eviction rival Dan.

Vanessa received a huge 86% of the votes, so it's without doubt that the public was getting fed up with her mother-goose style approach to things in the house - probably not helped by her petty moaning about the wasting of food after last weeks food fight.

The departure of Vanessa will mean there's only 3 females left in the house (dubious, as one of them is Nadia, so maybe make that 2...) and 6 blokes, making it much more likely that a standby housemate may enter the house within the next week or so to try and balance numbers up slightly.

However with the messed up evictions during previous weeks, with Kitten being evicted ahead of schedule, and then Emma also being made to leave, causing this weeks eviction to be put back a week, may well not really leave Big Brother with the option of bringing in an extra housemate... Of course they could always kick out grumpy cunt Jay, and vicious Victor for their constant rule breaking when it comes to talking about nominations, nicely opening the way for a new housemate.

In the minutes leading up to Vanessa's live eviction on Channel 4, the E4 streams have been showing how the housemates are dealing with the news, and also trying to re-jig the sleeping arrangements, as a matress will be removed as one has been for every previous "eviction" so far... with Shell still requring one half of the double that she shared with Vanessa though, it's not too clear quite who's matress will be nabbed by Big Brother.

Blabbermouth Vanessa revealed to the housemates confidential information about the eviction process after a quick chat that she'd had in the diary room, and was instantly recalled to the diary room to be reminded that she wasn't to tell the housemates anything about what would take place once she'd walked out of the door... Of course with her being evicted though, there's no really anything Big Brother can do about it - what are they going to do, give her a warning?
