Day 24 of 71 - Ever since that fight...
Posted by Simon at June 20, 2004 08:28 PM

Ever since that fight earlier in the week, the housemates haven't had very much to do. Big Brother claims it's a way of letting them get over the issues that the brawl raised, and to patch up their differences.

The Eye calls it lazy work by the Big Brother producers, and bloody BORING TV!

So what have the housemates done today? I don't know. They lazed around in bed for ages, lazed around in the sofa area for ages, lazed around in bed some more, moved Nadia's matress on to Stuarts bed because Emma has now officially left and when a housemate leaves they take a matress - just Emma shared the double bed with Michelle, which ment they couldn't take the double matress. Thing is, this ment that Michelle prompted Stu to sleep with her. He was having none of it though, so it looks like he's remaining in his bed, on Nadia's matress, and presumably Nadia's going to sleep with Michelle.

Michelle's going to sleep with a bloke that used to have bollocks before they were chopped off. And we all thought it'd be Stu's bollocks that she chopped off and kept in a tin? The irony.

Emma's eviction interview
Despite not receiving an eviction as such, Emma had an eviction-style interview with Davina tonight, on what was claimed to be a live show. She didn't get to watch the housemates live on the screens around the studio (probably Channel 4 thought she might spot Victor and start a fight with him or something) but she remained as dippy as before, flapping her hands about in strange spirals and waves, giggling, and, err, being Emma.

And in another case of Big Brother changing things as they go along, the Psych's show which was ment to be on a Sunday night, and simply went AWOL on the first Sunday that it was to air, now isn't going to be a Sunday any more. Instead Channel 4 have decided to stick it in it's new slot on a Monday night instead... quite why the change, The Eye doesn't know.

The longest day...
Housemates have commented this evening how it's been the "Longest day for me" and how they're bored with nothing going on. How they don't understand why they're not being given things to do, such as the live challenge, and it'd seem not even the weekly task, which would appear to have been postponed from it's usual Sunday start.

So why hasn't Big Brother got back on with the show and resumed where they left off? Yes there was the fight, yes it caused major problems, and it caused the game to be "paused" whilst they sorted it all out. BUT THEY'VE SORTED THINGS OUT AND MOVED ON NOW. IT'S NOW TIME TO GET BACK TO PLAYING THE GAME! If it's good enough for Big Brother to remove a matress because of Emma's departure, then it's clearly good enough for the other events to take place in the Big Brother house. However boring the housemates AND THE VIEWERS is going to spell disaster for this series. The Eye urges Big Brother's producers to pull their fingers out of their arses and do something to re-energise this series and get things back on the road. Big Brother wanted conflict, and got conflict, and now they're fucking worried about what might happen if they get more - they're fucking cowardly.
